The tragic fire in the Pacific Palisades will not break our community or slow our push for recovery!
Chuck Hart is a fourth-generation Pacific Palisades resident, a board member of the Pacific Palisades Methodist Church, and an active leader in his community. When the Palisades fire began, Chuck and his crew chose to stay behind, courageously fighting on the front lines for over 30 hours saving many residential structures in the community. His efforts have been picked up and documented by national media including the Washington Post and CNN.
As a General Contractor, he has been using his unique skills, equipment and teams to begin the clean up including shutting off water to burned out structures and clearing the roads to support recovery traffic. He and his crew have been doing this because of their love and support of the community.

In light of the recent City Planning meeting, we want to remind residents that the Palisades area may reopen today or tomorrow.
We understand this is a challenging time, and you may feel the urge to revisit your home and begin the recovery process. However, please remember:
🚫 Do NOT dig through the remains of your home without proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
🚫 Do NOT bring children or animals into the area.
💡 For those who missed the meeting, here’s a quick recap:
➡️ Phase 1: The hazardous removal process will be handled by the EPA.
➡️ Phase 2: Debris removal can be conducted by a licensed contractor or the government.

I don’t have the words to fully describe what this moment means to me. This church has been at the center of my family’s history for generations. My daughters are the 5th generation to be baptized here, and my great-grandfather was one of its founding members.
To stand there and watch it burn, unable to do anything because of the water challenges, is something I’ll never forget. This place wasn’t just a building—it was family, history, and faith all in one.
