Perseverance is not giving up when you really want to.
Self-love is unconditional love full of forgiveness, acceptance and tenderness pointed inward. It's not selfishness. It is understanding that meeting your own needs for yourself removes your expectations upon others to meet those needs for you. Which is actually selfishness.
