I'm a kitesurfer and a videographer that lives in an area that doesn't have a ton of wind or kiters. After going through a pretty long uphill battle to learn and to get comfortable enough exploring kites spots on my own, I wanted to share some of that knowledge to make it easier for others getting into the sport. At this point I'm obsessed with anything that gets me in the water, I foil, I surf, I twin tip, and I'm trying to progress in all of those areas.

Gave the noire matter harness mount one last shot… and it broke while I was water starting. I’d purchased a replacement ring after it broke last time.

Great idea for a product, but definitely not durable enough for kiting / foiling.

The GoPro mount I modified for my harness has been holding up. I put it through some serious crashes and no accidental releases. The rubber lock that comes on the GoPro mouth mount, locks the whole thing into the quick release.

It’s nice to be able to film for the channel and then to just be able to put the camera away and fully enjoy the session.

A kind stranger approached me after my session and said that they got a photo of me kiting. Given that I’m the photographer in my family, I was psyched to get a photo…

But, he did really capture the essence of the session… I was testing out some new front foil wings and it didn’t not go well :)

Finally got out of the rut and got in a session with Santa!

So happy to get back out the water despite how rusty I was

First twintip session on a while on a 15m, my back is tired but I’m happy to be out. Tested a new way to store my GoPro on my harness.

Thanks for helping me hit 2,000 subscribers!

For those of you considering getting into foiling, the Slingshot Hover Glide line of foils that I recommend as the most budget friendly way to get into foiling is actually being discontinued.... so you can get stuff super cheap:

Houston Kiteboarding - $499

If you're a heavier rider (over 200lbs), and want the easiest wing to learn on - $299
Infinity 76 - bit.ly/4d7B6Ia

If you want a great slightly more advanced but very stable wing for super cheap - $89
Apollo 60 - bit.ly/46vbjHk

Bummed to see it go because it's been versatile and super fun to ride.

First time out in months... Dealing with a knee injury and another side project that kept me from kiting. I was rusty, but very happy to be back in the water. Given how rusty I was, I didn't get any footage, but I'll be working on some new videos soon.

So psyched to get these line mounts from Ugo! Going to put them to the test soon in the next round of the line mount face off.

Back on the water for a gusty light wind session. Ended up body dragging back :)
