There’s a start to why Ram may go out of business! (I personally don’t believe they will but some people talk).
2025 is the biggest year over year base MSRP jump from Ram in 15 years or more I think. Please kindly correct me if I’m wrong.
However 2013 saw a little jump, it wasn’t that much!
See, back when I was in elementary school you could get a new Ram 1500 for under 30k. Not necessarily the base models either. In 2012 for example base price was around $26,625. It’s slowly gone up since then. Til the 2025 model year! Now the base model is literally starting at 58k. The 3.0L in line Hurricane 6 cylinder engines can’t tow as much as the 5.7L Hemi. It’s a more expensive engine & not as many people want said SST engine.
The 3.6L Pentastar doesn’t cut it. I hope they add another engine back soon.

Any brand in the 2020’s that begs for tax credits to continue is gaslighting you! They want you, us, social, mainstream, lards, media + anyone & everyone else in between, etc to high prices of cars is OK because “oh the government will save you”. Well too bad.
The Hummer EV & even something as cheap as the 65-79k (USD) Jeep Recon won’t qualify for the government EV tax credit/rebate. I’ll guess the 2024&2025 Charger EV’s price would be between 40&70k, min. So it’d barely qualify. Chevrolet Bolt may be the literal only vehicle these days that actually qualifies for the EV tax credit.
Then if dealers mark any EV prices way the heck up, they won’t qualify.
I’m surprised companies don’t beg governments to lower EV’s prive celing for the tax credit eligibility for EV tax credits. As well most manufacturers should lower prices of most cars. Period.

Why’s that one in my feed today tho? I mean I was thinking about the Jeep Recon.. Tbh, & how the New Scout SUV is priced lower than the (2023’s forecast of $70k) Recon, despite it being smaller in my opinion .. Anyhoo .. yk.. Is YouTube turning into the way ads are generated for people these days?☠️.
Anyways.. the Jeep Recon was shown, I think Sep 8th 2022. It since then rumours have been going around it’ll be built in Canada possibly. Its base model USD pricing may be around $69k or even as high as $79k☠️. Forecasted 1st model year will be 2025 or 2026 but keeps changing.
Now that’d really ruffle Jeep execs feathers. As it should! Jeeps are getting increasingly expensive! Many jeeps are getting stupidly out budget for so many people.!
If the 2027 Scout SUV’s price really stays as low as they said, it’d be amazing.! A base price of $55-65k USD (& slightly higher CAD) for the Scout would be decent… I suppose.. ish. .
