Living with Lindy: My Simple Approach to Mindfulness, from the Sublime to the Miscellaneous. For me, this means a little bit of everything I notice each day, nothing important in itself, just moments in my day and my life that mean something to me, things I'd like to share. For me, being present is that simple: just noticing.
Sublime: The beautiful, surprising, wondrous things I encounter every day.
Miscellaneous: Everything that doesn't go in the Sublime category.
Slightly serious note: Living with Lindy got its name because after losing my daughter Valerie, my only child, in 2022, I'm now slowly finding my way into an entirely new life. This is, in fact, only the second project I've worked on that Valerie was not involved with in one way or another — so it's a very big deal for me. (The first is my YouTube channel about Valerie and about what grief is really like. This is @dearvalerie2022 — link is below. Please visit me there too.)
Thanks for joining me here— enjoy!

First in my new video series: "Just Breathe"! Focus on love (not just for Valentine's Day, right?), with 6 beautiful Impressionist-style hearts & flowers images (my own art), and serene music in the background. Enjoy this moment!
As this series continues, I might do some as actual Shorts, some as slightly longer videos like this one, but they all will live on their very own Playlist (youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR..., so you can go back to them easily whenever you need a moment.

Who doesn't love a great makeover? Here's my own TV, shown in its rather sad, blank state before its sparkly new makeover, featuring my original photographic art in a brand-new collection: Autumn & Pumpkins. (I just love how it works with the canvases on the wall to the right of the TV.) Gorgeous fall foliage alternates with scenes from a stormy day at a pumpkin farm — perfect for enhancing your own home this fall!
Here's a link to the Autumn & Pumpkins Screen Art video — 8 artistic images in 1 hour: https://youtu.be/BQXpaUgrkWQ
UPDATE: I just posted a new version of this video with MUSIC — first time I've done this! https://youtu.be/PwpKOM85CCE

HELPFUL SCREEN ART TIP HERE!
Late yesterday I uploaded a new, extended version of my original 1-hour Sunflowers Screen Art video — this one is 2 hours long, and includes 4 totally new sunflower images (added to the original 8 in the shorter version), one of which is in the photo in this post, shown on my own TV. That's a total of 12 different watercolor-style images of sunflowers that I created in Adobe Photoshop, starting with my own sunflower photos. (If you've seen very many of this channel's videos, you'll know I'm getting a lot of mileage out of the handful of sunflowers that popped up this summer in my little balcony garden.)
This morning, I settled down with some coffee and a crossword puzzle, and put on this video, just to have a bright, beautiful, and changing-every-10-minutes work of art in front of me for a while. BUT after 5 minutes, the TV screensaver came on — I had forgotten about this, and it changed my lovely sunflower art to a folder of my photos from the Oregon Coast or something. Nothing wrong with those photos, but I wanted my sunflowers back!
HERE'S THE TIP: Before starting the Sunflowers Screen Art video, go into your TV Settings and temporarily turn off the Screensaver function.
On my TV, I went to the Fire TV Settings > Display > Screensaver. This doesn't give a lot of options for the Screensaver timing, though; you can set the Screensaver to come on after 5, 10, or 15 minutes, with the only other option being "never". Of course, the trick is, you also need to go back and turn the Screensaver back on later, that is, if you use one at all.
Hope this is useful, and that you're enjoying my sunflower art as much as I am!

I just created my very first TV screen art video! Here's what it looks like on my own TV. I love how it makes my TV part of the other art on my wall (also my own original art & photo montages), instead of a big black box over my fireplace. What do you think? Is this something you might use?
I decided to start making my own TV screen art after noticing how much I've been enjoying using other people's art videos; there are a lot of wonderful choices out there, including @ambientart, one of my favorites. Although I love looking at these, which are mostly beautiful, classic artworks, one difference with mine is that the images are all my original digital art, created from my own photos. (There are 8 different sunflower images in this first video, changing every so often for a total of 1 hour.)
