I get a lot of people asking for recommended papers for printers. This is difficult to answer for a global audience, but more so because paper choice is such a personal aspect of printing. I've just updated some aspects of a video I did a while ago covering just what papers you should get, along with many other aspects of how I choose papers.

13,000K working lighting?
Why I'm waiting for some blinds for the new office windows...
On this clear sunny day, the north facing windows give room lighting around about a colour temperature of 11,000K (13,200K in one spot!]
My D65 monitors have a warm look to them
My normal video shooting setup, and the ceiling lights are ~4000K
The bright windows just behind the monitors make any editing results highly suspect
No, you do not want to be shooting videos or editing images in conditions like this!

Canon Pro level Printers Timeline.
Looking back at 20 years of Canon printers - why lifetimes are stretching and some of those printers may still be viable options, whilst we wait for 'something new' [nothing much is likely for a few years]. However, do watch out for ink availability and operating systems [drivers] support. Also take note of potentially restrictive printer transportation issues if you are offered a large format Canon printer at a good price.

A reminder to carefully check out ANY new printer when you get it.
Just heard from someone whose printer was showing the misting overspray but with Magenta ink. The good news is that it's a very rare occurrence and, in the UK at least, everyone who has contacted me had their printer replaced by Epson.

I've heard of people leaving [other] printers for months before setting them up - BIG mistake, returns are much more likely to go well if you spot issues right away.
