Hi all! In my newest vid (driving) I said how good looking my dad was in his 50’s, before he started gaining lots of weight. Also, I said he didn’t start getting any gray hair until his 50’s (I think late 50’s). Well, He may have been in his late 40’s in the 1st photo, I’m not sure, but in the 2nd & 4th photo, he was in his mid 50’s. In the 3rd photo he was 59. The date is on some of these photos. . He was born in 1934. The 5th photo was taken around 1999, so he was in his mid-60’s. By then, he had already gained a lot of weight (and had some gray hair, lol). You will see me on the far right (I had gained weight too!), my sister (Suzi) is on the far left, and stepmom Irene & my dad are in the middle. LOL, I remember that cool “Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream” t-shirt I am wearing.😁 *tap on the pics to see the full-pucs*

Hi😊After seeing Analytics, I now know my new chatty driving video (from Porter Ranch to Van Nuys, CA) I released about 7 hours ago, was too long (about 38 minutes). I checked and it’s the longest video I released in the last 12 months.😲The Analytics are saying that the average viewer watches less than half of it. I had planned on possibly splitting it into 2 shorter videos (a part 1 and a part 2), but unfortunately decided not to. I’ll do my best to never make a video that long again.😀👍🏻

Hi folks!😊 I am going to make a driving video tomorrow afternoon, from home, to the L.A. neighborhood of Porter Ranch, CA. My optometrist moved there recently, and I want to keep her, so I’m driving farther away for tomorrow’s annual appointment (I wear disposable contact lenses). Porter Ranch is in the northwest part of the San Fernando Valley section, of the City of Los Angeles. It used to be part of “Northridge”, and changed names probably because they thought it could improve property values. Other sections here in the Valley have changed names too: Like with Valley Village, CA, which used to be a section of North Hollywood. My Alma Mater, California State University, Northridge (BA Psychology) is next door and just east of Porter Ranch and I may purposely drive by the campus tomorrow, as it’s not out of the way. I also lived in Northridge at my first apartment ever (with a roommate), when I left my mom’s place at age 21. Have as good night and a good Monday. 😀

Wow, “blast from the past”📺& very cool that YT’s algorithm suggested it…”Room 222”, Who else loved it? It aired from 1969-1974, and I remember it being one of my favorite prime time TV shows, when I was a child and 8 years old. Now that I look back at that, I think some of the topics of the show were not suitable for kids that age. But my parents didn’t monitor the TV shows I watched. This vid has over one million views.

In a previous post I said cafeteria food at the 4 schools I went to in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD, the public school district of the City of Los Angeles) was fantastic, and because of that, I very rarely brought a packed lunch from home, from 1st grade on. It was all homemade. In case you are wondering, I had to buy everything, I was never eligible for the “free breakfast & lunch meals” because my parents’ income was too high to qualify. I would buy things individually from junior high on, like a plate of spaghetti, a side dinner salad (there was only one, but yummy salad dressing, like French dressing), and a cake slice. See the 4 photos. The 3rd photo has the recipe for the fantastic, “since 1954” coffee cake recipe. I ate this “LAUSD” coffee cake at “Nutrition” (the mid morning break) almost daily in both junior high & high school! It is surprisingly popular now online with former students and there are even YouTube videos of people making it. I think it was only 20 to 25 cents a slice back when I used to buy it. One of the photos gives me the idea that some of the other LAUSD recipes may be online too. Nowadays, all public & charter school students in the entire state of CA, get free meals at school, regardless of their parents’ income (See the 4th photo). I think they did this because there are so many public school students now in CA that come from low income families and they don’t want the ones that get the “free meals” to feel stigmatized. I heard at least some of our LAUSD schools now have salad bars! *tap on the pics to see the full-pics*

😁🤣Alice Cooper’s early ‘70s hits were before my time, but “School’s Out” was always played on the campus outdoor speakers at my high school, on the last day of school (right before summer vacation).👍🏻
