Our show is based in Wisconsin but we travel across the United States and sometimes to other countries.

Wisconsin Marabou Stork Update!

*UPDATE* The Stork has been captured and taken to Safari Lake Geneva! It is currently in quarantine.

“The owner of the animal park, Jay Christie, and its director of conservation, Maggie Christie, rescued the stork, which is currently in quarantine.

“She surrendered without resistance,” Christie stated in a news release. “She is remarkably tame by stork standards.”

“It’s unlikely she would have survived another month,” Christie said, noting a number of close calls with traffic. “And, of course, she would never survive one of our winters.”

Some people are speculating this is a different bird than the 2023 Indiana bird although the leg bands seem to support it being the same bird. Will update if I get more info.
