Intrepid Exotics is in the process of a re-branding!
All things nature & wildlife! Based in Wyoming just outside the majestic Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, this channel is devoted to the good, the bad, and the ugly about nature at it's most beautiful and most ferocious, from the cutest ground squirrel to ominous mile-high peaks.
As a full-time tour guide in the national parks and a part-time nature & wildlife photographer, I spend nearly every day in this amazing preserved wilderness both on the tour routes and off the beaten path in the massive 4,000 square mile preserve between Grand Teton and Yellowstone. There is so much to see and learn about this area I will never stop learning about it and will continue to share the journey with the Intrepid Exotics family.
Some of our daily activities include searching for wildlife such as bison, grizzly and black bears, grey wolves, red fox, pine marmots, caribou, elk, beaver, coyotes, prairie dogs, golden & bald eagles

Another day, different pack. Spent the evening with the Wapiti pack in Yellowstones Hayden Valley. It's one thing to watch documentaries on pack behavior but to be learning it in the same field with these complex and beautiful animals is such a cherished experience.

This is what it's all about; being in the field with the biggest predators and prey in the country, Here's some shots from today's venture into Yellowstone. Started with a great grey owl and some buck elk, finished up hanging with one of our resident grizzly girls Jam, and watched a big boar grizzly defend his elk kill from the Molly wolf pack. A day in the life! I'll be publishing the video of this event and talking about the wolf-bear populations here soon!

Some of my favorite captures from Yellowstone - Grand Teton in Wyoming as winter moves in on us. Making the shift to working with captive reptiles to wild animals of every stripe, learning their behaviors and capturing them in their natural habitat has been one of the best moves of my life and every day is a new adventure.

Made it to Yellowstone and so begins the next chapter. Between Teton and Yellowstone I'll be in the parks 3-6 days a week nearly year round and although not exclusively for photography as I'll be leading tours my camera will always be within reach and I'm going to have some of the most breathtaking content to share! These photos are the "normal" park pics, but there are some of the most massive and alien locations out here that I can't wait to share!

Down to the last 5 reptiles that need homes, they are priced as fairly as possible and open to discussion to get them in the right places within the next couple weeks. Find me on the Intrepid Exotics Facebook page or at intrepidexotics@gmail.com if you'd like to speak about them. I'm in central North Carolina

Wanted to let everyone know that Chapter 2 in the Intrepid Exotics story starts in 30 days, the first week of August 2025. After 10 years in North Carolina and several years producing the YouTube channel here focusing on large reptile behavior and handling, helping folks better understand their pets and working against unjust reptile bans nationwide, we are re-homing all of our reptiles and moving west.
This is by no means the end, but rather a new beginning that is going to take the same work that I have done over the years and expand on it to a much larger landscape, with a much more diverse group of wildlife and a greater ecological cause. I am going to be in the Bridger-Teton national forest in August, permanently, just south of Yellowstone in Wyoming. This may seem like a huge divergence from the reptile world, but it's not so far removed as one may think.
I will be sharing with the community the landscape and wildlife from the oldest national park of it's kind in the world, with a rich history of ecology and geology from one of the most unique places on the planet, and continuing to work towards protecting not only our rights to keep our reptiles, but to shift focus to preserving the most intact ecosystem of it's kind in the country, teaching about how humans have impacted the area for good and bad, and continuing to emphasize the importance of animals that humans fear, much like we've done with our giant snakes, but in regard to other apex predators like bears and wolves that humans have killed-off out of our own fear and misunderstanding that we have learned play such a vital role in not only interactions with other wildlife, but in literally shaping the environment.
I hope to bring the community here some of the most breathtaking views and most unvarnished perspectives of how vitally important it is for humans to protect and preserve all life on this planet and to cherish the last few remaining wild ecosystems we haven't destroyed.
This is not my photo below, simply a random photo found online but keep an eye out over the next few months as I pursue some of the most amazing locations on the planet to bring to everyone here. All of you that have stuck with me and supported what I've done over the years are awesome and I can't thank you enough, and hang in there because we are about to begin work on some fantastic content.

Still looking for a home for a couple large retics and a 6 ft Nile monitor in central North Carolina. I'm selling my collection here and will have to re-build my collection at a later date but in the meantime I need to find good homes for the remaining animals. I have a pinned post on the Intrepid Facebook page with a list and pics of what's still available.

Some of what I've been up to lately, working on my high-contrast collection. Most found within an hour from home, except I had to drive about 4 hrs to hang with the wild bears. The eagle and the bear was taken in the wild, the lion and mountain lion at the zoo and the tiger at a nearby sanctuary.
