I’ve made it to Australia! 🇦🇺 I spent 3 days in Sydney and I’m now on my cruise headed towards New Zealand. So new videos coming soon BUT I have to share some of the crazy differences of gambling in Australia vs. US because wow it was eye opening.

I stayed at The Star which was such a pleasant experience and will be putting up a room & property tour video.

But overall Australia does gambling very differently🇦🇺

In many casinos here, there are built-in checkpoints designed to slow everything down. ATMs are placed outside the gaming areas, so if you run out of money, you have to physically leave, reset, and go back through security before continuing. There are also enforced breaks—after a few hours of play, you’re required to step away for at least 15 minutes—plus daily spend limits that help cap how much you can lose.

All of it is designed to interrupt impulsive behavior and protect the player… which really made me realize how little the U.S. prioritizes the safety and well-being of its gamblers.

What really surprised me is that so many people here talk about Australia having a big gambling problem—and I don’t doubt that—but coming from the U.S., this felt mild in comparison. Like… have you gambled in the States? It’s a completely different environment.

It definitely shifted my perspective on what “responsible gambling” can actually look like.

Hi!!

So many of you comment asking “where I’ve been” I see them all and wish I could respond to each one! You’re all so sweet to share concerns but I am still thriving! Fun fact I make content daily on TikTok @thesoftlifestrategist where I showcase my mindset, travel, lifestyle content and just recently created a new series to showcase some Tampa eats and gems (going to try and transfer those videos over to my bougieonabonus IG but it’s so hard to maintain multiple platforms at once 😅! It’s not really gambling focused though as I’ve been staying away from the casino but I’m getting ready for my string of cruises here this month starting with Australia and New Zealand so the cruise series will be back in action by the end of this month!!

Hi Friends!

Expect some sporadic posting for the next few weeks. I have some back logged content that I’m going to try and spread out while I focus on getting this year off to a good start! With all my big trips coming up (Australia in March) kicking off back to back cruises through fall….I am trying to pace myself and focus on being healthy and feeling good for the upcoming travel which honestly has me not feeling a strong desire to go to the casino as much! Losing money is hard mentally and as much as I wish they could all be winning days we all know it’s not the case! BUT in the meantime I’m planning out some fun cruise/travel content and saving up for those!

✨ Wow… what a year it’s been. ✨

It’s honestly wild to think I started this channel back in August and we just hit 15,000 subscribers before the end of the year. I’m so grateful for every single one of you who’s watched, commented, subscribed, and come up to say hi at the casino — that part still blows my mind.

I know I’ve been a little quieter the past couple of weeks. I’ve been spending time with family and haven’t had much time to hit the casino, but don’t worry — I’ve got content backlogged and coming your way. A video should be going out today, showcasing my final jackpot of the year 🎰✨
