He earned his MD (Med) degree from BJ Medical College, Pune; DM (Cardiology) from Grant Medical College, Mumbai; and DNB (Cardiology) from the National Board. He is the 1986 Mumbai University Gold Medalist in DM (Cardiology). Dr Hiremath gained his Coronary Angioplasty training in Melbourne, Australia and has a fellowship from the American College of Cardiology (FACC) to his name. He is among the first doctor to perform Coronary Angioplasty in India. He has delivered over 3000 lectures around the globe and published countless research papers in renowned medical journals.
