📸“The Peas Have Entered Their Growth Era”
A little Soul Food Garden update because things are moving along! The Black Eyed Peas are growing tall and proud, honestly, I didn’t expect them to take off this quickly, but they’ve been showing out and I’m not complaining. My sweet potato slips had me nervous at first; they looked like they were going to give up on me, and sadly, one did. But the others pulled through, and their leaves are looking vibrant and healthy now, so we celebrate life!
The okra is being fashionably late as usual… no sprouts yet but I’ve read it takes time, so I’m letting the soil do its thing. Oh, if you see the white powder in my planters, don’t worry, that’s just diatomaceous earth. I’m keeping the bugs in check naturally because we’re not doing pest drama this season. Slowly but surely, this little apartment garden is becoming a whole vibe.
