[december 13th, 2025 💌]

in the blink of an eye it’s the birthday of my favorite person in the entire world. my first and biggest love in music. the person who gave me my favorite songs and albums in the whole world and also the happiest days of my life. it might sound exaggerated or dramatic but she’s not just an artist to me. yes she’s my favorite artist — but she’s also my favorite person. all of her eras represent a little part of me. she and her music are part of me. i wouldn’t be who i am without her. i’ll never stop being grateful that i got to grow up and be a teenager in a world with taylor swift in it. i don’t want to live in a world without her.

i remember the summer of 2023 and how i started listening to her music when speak now tv came out (my favorite rerecording it will always remind me of that summer which was the beginning of everything) and little did i know she would end up becoming the person i always run to whenever i need to feel safe. i know it sounds cliche but i genuinely don’t know where id be right now without her. she’s given me some of the happiest moments of my life. just between us, me and taylor — i remember it all too well.

like her i’m just a girl trying to find a place in this world but somehow with her i feel like everything will be okay because no matter how bad things get i’ll always have her.

and now this same girl who has saved me in every way a person can be saved turns 36 today. and while im writing this my eyes are tearing up because this is the same teenage girl who dreamed of being able to sing and write songs to make people feel seen and understood — the same girl who dreamed of finding true love one day — and look at her now. woah. she got her masters back and she’s engaged to the love of her life. and i couldn’t be more proud of her because NO ONE deserves happiness more than she does.

the fact that i never got to go to the eras tour and see her will haunt me forever but for now i’ll watch the final show and the docuseries in my room and cry while i do, because she means the world to me. and i’ll patiently wait for the day i finally get to see her.

happy birthday taylor. nothing makes me prouder than seeing you happier than you’ve probably ever been.

my beloved eras tour.

it seriously feels like it was yesterday when i was up at like 5am listening to long live + new year’s day + the manuscript on some glitchy youtube livestream in my room sobbing because it was gonna be the last time. i never got the chance to go and it'll haunt me forever. i don’t think i’ll ever fully get over it and it’ll always hurt a little when i think about it. but i don’t think i'll ever love any tour the way i love the eras tour. it saved so many lives and it made me SO insanely happy. i wish i could time travel but i can’t so at least i’ll have the new movie + the docuseries. i'm never getting over this tour no matter how much time goes by. yeah, it was the end of an era and the start of an age but there will never be another era like the eras tour.
