Can you see it??? Quite a few of you asked how the shell dweller tank was doing? In short it's doing very well and I think we need to do an upgrade soon.
Up close with my toadstool coral is seriously one of the coolest sights in our reef tank. Those tiny “flowers” aren’t just for show each one is a living polyp with its own mouth. They extend the tentacles into the water, capturing drifting plankton and nutrients to feed the colony. It’s wild to think that every single one you see is actively working to grow and sustain the coral. Nature never stops amazing me!
You know it's a cold one when you grab the fish net and it comes out in a block of ice! . We've been out filming some of the ponds today for an upcoming winter pond video. My word it was so cold, I kept losing what part I was meant to be talking about. Hopefully it will make sense once it's edited hahaha.
I'm absolutely loving how great the cardinal tetras are looking in the blackwater tank @alexb_aquatics, @SomersetShrimpShack and I set up a while back. . The massive palm leaves and pods from Live Aquatic food online have provided some great homes and grazing areas! There also might be some new fish in here just out of shot. I'm excited to get the video finished and out for you all to see! . What fish do you reckon we ended up getting?
Spent a few days last week sat in front of a few of our Betta tanks filming the new Betta informational video for our YT! . Everyone always asks which is my favourite but honestly, other than the obvious colour differences they are all so individual. What did you get for Christmas? I got a super flu and have only just left my bed! We did also receive a care package from @YouTube with my favourite Christmas jumper ever and also a snow globe! So that made the flu a bit more bearable! . Katie does love mince pies but I promise that she isn't just hiding Christmas indulgence. So if we go quiet sometime in February it is more than likely because we have welcomed our new baby into the world. Now I'm back out of bed I will be working on lots of new exciting things for 2026! So watch this space! We were also going to try include Roma in the photo but she was eating and didn't fancy joining in. . We hope you all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to 2026! So I thought I would make a video all about setting up a second hand Betta aquarium. . We used an old fish tank and an LED desk lamp to set it up. How has it already been over 6 months since we set up our indoor cichlid pond! It's looking lush and honestly needs an update video soon. I have some plans and ideas for something funky to put on it. Either that or I move it out the way and put a new aquarium in its place? What do you think?
