Got a fish you didn't expect to love, but now it's one of your absolute favourites? This Snakehead has definitely become one of mine and my boys favourites. I guess it's because it comes straight out when you enter the room to see what you are doing, or more likely to see if you have brought it some food.

Choosing a pond filter isn't a "one size fits all" job pick the wrong one, and you’re looking at a soup of green water and endless maintenance. Here is the quick breakdown of the big three that we discuss in our newest YouTube video.
In-Pond Filters: The easiest choice to install. Everything sits completely submerged out of sight. Perfect for smaller setups or pre-formed patio features where you don’t want bulky gear ruining the view.
Box / Flow Through Filters: The reliable workhorse. These sit right on the edge of the pond and rely on gravity to pour the clean water back in. They offer massive filtration capacity and are incredibly easy to open up and clean.
Pressure Filters: The versatile filter. Because the canister is completely sealed under pressure, you can bury it in the ground and pump the clean water right up to the top of a massive waterfall. Plus, most come with a simple backwash valve so you can clean it without getting your hands dirty.
We just dropped a massive, deep-dive video breaking down the exact pros, cons, and hidden features of these systems so you don’t waste money on the wrong setup.
What's everyone doing this Sunday? We have a grumpy teething 3 month old, so we had to enlist the help of the non grumpy 3 year old! . Water change and algae wipe on the @oase_global Highline 600 finished. Then a feed of @NTLabsOfficialSite tablet food to get all the fish back out. . Hopefully by this afternoon I can spend a little time in the garden reading the new @practicalfishkeeping magazine!
