Monthly newsletter!

In a step to move away from Adobe products (RIP - I've worked in Adobe products over 20 years..), I'm learning how to edit in DaVinci Resolve. It's taking some time to get use to but I think this is an important step to take. Adobe is too expensive, they don't seem to care much about their customers and they're moving too far into the AI space, which makes me very uncomfortable.
I've been hesitant to move over to DaVinci resolve simply because I've always been an Adobe girl. I know all the shortcuts, all the little tricks and I work fast in those programs. I know Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere pro so well that I've stayed with it only because it's been comfortable. But everything has a limit and I'm reaching mine. I'm already paying 311SEK (about $34) ONLY for Adobe Premiere EVERY MONTH!

I'm also trying to learn Affinity to step away from Illustrator and Photoshop. It's expensive enough to use Adobe Premiere, but if I'd also want to use PS and Illustrator (which I've been doing only because it's FUN!), I'd have to pay about 932SEK a month (about $104) to get access to their most affordable package. Don't even try to convince me that it's worth it.

Worse part is that I chose "bill monthly" but apparently they put me on a yearly plan, which stops me from even cancelling without paying a SALTY fee. If I didn't like Adobe for their choices, I hate them now. I didn't even get a clear warning that I was passing the year mark so I could opt out. Just wow.

I haven't gotten use to the change yet so it's taking longer than I'm comfortable with to edit and so on but I'm slowly getting there :)

On more gaming related news;
We recently finished Tunic and I'm still sad about it. It was a great game! We picked up Röki after that, which haven't been turning the numbers I'd been hoping for, but I'm still planning on finishing it. I might do a very long video with the "rest of the game", though.

Upcoming games;
Just finished recording the first episode of Ghost Tricks. I'll try and have it done by Tuesday.
I'm also interested in playing Undertale.

News on the channel;
Did you notice that I finally dared to turn on Membership and Super Thanks on the channel? It's most a way to support the channel. Members gets some smileys and badges as well as early access to videos whenever possible. I might add a Membership community tab as well but we only have 1 member so far so it's not really helpful yet :) I'm personally feeling a bit brave for finally turning on the feature, since I could have done it when we reached 500 subs but hey.. sometimes things takes time.

Been having some difficulty recording this weekend (some of us seem to be getting sick so can't record audio without very loud sneezes and coughs in the background constantly :) ), so I'm releasing some Megacuts next week!

I loved my "The Forgotten City" (Released Feb 2025) and "Return of the Obra Dinn" playthroughs (Released Oct 2024, even though the camera quality in Obra Dinn was horrible haha), but I understand people don't want to jump into older 7 episodes long series or can't be bothered to click through them. So we're doing a Megacut of these playthroughs this week!

So fair warning, I guess; Some of you have already seen these playthroughs! I figured this was a good solution all in all instead of skipping uploads <3

Today is fettisdagen! (Fet-tisdagen meaning "The Fat Tuesday" in Swedish). We always eat Semla on fettisdagen, though some prefer a Swedish cream bun. Do you celebrate fat Tuesday or something similar where you're from?

A short channel newsletter!

First of all, we're closing in on yet another subscribers milestone. Just a few more to go, actually! I haven't really planned for anything special (so feel free to bring suggestions) because I only just recently realised it would be pretty funny to do something. Still though! Very fun :)

Second, and this is SAD, but we're getting close to the end in Tunic. I have a lot of games on the list but I'm not sure what to do after we finished it. The Witness have been suggested, as well as Deaths Door. I'm still sad about it so I haven't decided what to do next yet though.

Third, we're closing in on the 2 years mark for the channel and I'm planning another "what I've learned so far"-video. It'll be a bit different than last time, of course, and I'm also (imo) getting a bit "too old" to give good enough tips and tricks for those of you starting this year. The longer you do YT, the more you forget how it felt to start out completely new. But I got some things I'd want to talk about anyway :)

And that's about it. I've let Tunic completely consume me lately and it's rare for a game to get such a hold on me! Closing in on the end, I'm feeling almost as sad as when we finished Outer Wilds and that's saying something. So a real question to end the newsletter; What the heck will we do now?!
