Richard has written six (and counting) books of political cartoons. In 1972 Richard graduated from Baruch College of the city university of New York earning a BBA in Industrial psychology. Given the economic recession at the time, Richard was not able to find a job in his field. At that juncture, Richard resolved to remain working as a taxi cab driver for a private car service in Yonkers, New York.

Richard drove his taxi, working 12-hour shifts 6 days a week, until one day his cab dispatcher gave him a call to pick up a student at a local Junior high school. Whereby chance, Richard observed a teacher giving what appeared to be an Algebra lecture to his class. Immediately, Richard saw himself in that position! And began the road to his career as a high school math teacher. And later after further training and study becoming a part-time real estate broker. Now retired from both positions, Richard is dedicated to creating humorous and enlightening political cartoon books as an author.
