Looking at that list, I can simply say THANK YOU. Let's keep it going in 2026. If you are new to the channel, a most hearty WELCOME.
Please make yourself at home and feel free to kick back and relax. And if you have any questions about aviation or how to get into aviation, feel free to email me.
What many of you may not know is that I was a Flight Dispatcher for two different airlines, Breeze and Envoy and that I currently work in airport operations. Feel free to ask away and learn things you can only find out on the channel.
More to come, I look forward to sharing it all with you.
DARE TO BE DIFFERENT! I HOPE YOU ENJOYED A STROLL ACROSS AVIATION HISTORY
Thank you to EVERYONE who joined me on the walk down memory lane, literally being part of our first ever walking tour of Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson Arizona. It was 90 minutes of walking, talking and exploring and I hope you enjoyed it.
Let me know what you think! If you missed the show today, here is a link to the show on Wednesday morning.
In other news, I'd like to say a big thank you to EVERYONE who has been so supportive of the channel as I try and raise to $400 to help cover a portion of the travel costs associated with the super stream with Carolina Aviation in Raleigh Durham.
As of January 28th, we have reached raised $230 of the $400 needed with two weeks to go.
Thank you everyone!!!
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions have any suggestions.
I will also be posting a MAP of all the airports we've done live streams at thanks to your support of the channel!
Unfortunately, there will be NO Honolulu stream on Monday....or Tuesday. My flight that was supposed to take off at 11:40 am from PHX to HNL was cancelled. We were missing two flight attendants.
And as of 7:38 pm, we are still missing them šš
I made the choice not to rebook on a Monday that may suffer the same fate and/or delays.
Now to pick up the pieces and drive back to Tucson.
I made it a few years without a cancellation so I think that's a pretty good track record.
It sucks but life goes on.
My apologies and I'll have more tomorrow. In the meantime I'm tired and stuck in Phoenix trying to get home
NINE months ago you voted on the 50th airport extravaganza finalists to be London, Frankfurt and Honolulu.
And then, you made the call of Honolulu to be the first ever host of the 50th airport extravaganza. And here were ARE! Thank you for your patience and support.
Tomorrow, Sunday Jan 25th, I will be taking a flight across the ocean to Hawaii.
If you would like to track me, it is American Airlines flight #2884 from TUS to PHX and it leaves at 9:46 a.m.
My connection is pretty tight at PHX, about 52 min so pray my bag and myself can get to my connecting flight which is American Airlines flight #693 from PHX to HNL and it leaves at 11:40 a.m. out of PHX.
Depending on how much jet lag I have, I may try and test stream before Monday's show which hopefully will go on without a hitch. I am bringing Verizon and T-Mobile to the table so I hope that works and I don't run into a roaming issues like when we were in Alaska.
Speaking of Monday's show, if you could please click the link below and hit the thumbs up/like button, I sure would appreciate it.
I was unable to get a truck so I may be stuck behind the fence in Hawaii. Maybe Dollar will be nice and upgrade me to a truck for free. I'll do the best with what I got!
I'm unsure if I will be doing a Tuesday show. I reached out to the island spotting guru, Reverse Ops and Patrick to see if he would like a guest host, but have not heard back.
So for now, would you please be so kind to pray for good weather, good technology and good vibes for our shows which will be #395 and maybe #396.
I hope you will track my flight and adventure and I look forward to bringing you the islands. Aloha to you all. More to come!
Many of you are my good friends so what I share is in the spirit of friendship and understanding.
This week marks ONE YEAR of my time in Tucson and as interesting as itās been, there are some things you need to know about me and Tucson. More importantly, there are some things I want to share about my life going forward in Tucson.
Tucson is a hot, sweltering desert where planes, people and grass go to die, so I hope you can understand that for a 44 year old who still has a lot of life to live, staying here and being indoors seven months out of the year is a disaster.
Additionally, I believe that Tucson is living far beneath its privilege as a municipality and in my opinion is making poor choices in how it governs itself.
With that being said, Tucson still offers a lot of opportunities not found everywhere.
For example, the University of Arizona offers opportunities to advance my education and it sits just minutes away from my house. In addition, I have a job provides me with stability and income, which are often treasured resources.
So on one hand, I am blessed with potential opportunities that will help me yet on the other hand, I mentally struggle to survive with the atmosphere of Tucson. So what do I take? The possibility of greater good in exchange for greater suffering? Or do you escape the suffering in the search for greater good that may or may not be there?
In that dichotomy, I have come to a few conclusions and options where I stand right now to direct my life going forward.
1. Leave Tucson for greener pastures in the form of FINALLY running my channel full time, doing my thing and putting my heart and soul into something I think can be viable for a career at some point.
2. Stay in Tucson, go to graduate school and run for Tucson City Council or even Mayor of Tucson. And I am not joking about running for Mayor either. Those who know the real Pipster, know that I ran for public office in the past. In addition, I have an extensive knowledge of municipal politics, covering them as a journalist for over five years. You can look at Tucson and see what it is, or what it could be.
3. Stay in Tucson, go to graduate school and and work for the airport.
4. None of the above.
It feels good to talk about this. It is healthy and it is important. A lot of how I communicate is through the public, It's just the nature of being on the interwebs.
If I go to school, there is a possibility that I may to give up broadcasting for a while and I really don't like that thought.
So we will see what the future holds. I'll just keep doing my thing and my job until a window opens.
I appreciate y'all listening and thanks for your support.
Along with the Department of Justice and the FBI, I am releasing the wanted poster for the suspect sought in connection with the Photo Bombing that took place Monday at Paine Field during episode #393 of Pip's Planespotting LIVE!
The suspect is an elderly male, who stands approximately 6 feet tall, 170 lbs and has a skinny silver and gray mustache. At the time of the Photo Bombing, he was last seen wearing a purple windbreaker jacket, track pants, black HOKA shoes and was last seen attempting to operate an Apple Iphone 15 sideways.
It is unclear at this time if he was acting alone or if he was part of a elderly gang of plane spotting thugs. The motive for the crime is still under investigation.
If you have any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of this individual, please contact pipsplanespottinglive@gmail.com. Crime Stoppers of Paine Field along with Mattman are offering a reward of $100.
That is all.
Please be vigilant folks. And most importantly, DON'T BECOME KNOWN AS THE PHOTOBOMBER. YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM ALL PLANE SPOTTING PARKS AND FACE PUBLIC HUMILIATION.
Humor aside, don't be this guy. We all deserve to have great shots and videos. Don't be inconsiderate of others. That's all.
I hope you enjoyed my writing talents and news reporting. If you guys didn't know, I used to be a radio news anchor and reporter so this stuff is my jam LOL.
CAROLINA AVIATION&PIP HASTINGS JOINING FORCES FOR SUPERSHOW!.....With a Catch.
For the past several months, many of you have requested that my friendly competition, Carolina Aviation and I join forces for a super stream in North Carolina.
Well I FINALLY have a window that I can try to make this happen in February 14th through the 17th, BUT with a catch.
It is not inexpensive to travel across the country, and I am politely asking your help as I try and raise $400 by Feb. 11 to help mitigate the massive trip costs($750-$850)from Arizona to Raleigh Durham to help cover the costs of hotel and airfare.
You are not under any obligation to do so for the channel, but many of you have been clamoring for this on both mine and Carolina's broadcast....soooo if you'd like to see this become a reality, I am asking that you consider setting aside a couple dollars on my shows via PayPal, GoFundMe or Via SuperChat on YouTube, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Many hands make light work :).
In other news, I have a TON of video from Seattle that I want to share and that you will see in the coming days.
Thanks for Carolina Aviation's support on this and appreciate his kindness and friendship in working with me on this.
Look forward to sharing much more soon and I am happy to say I am back home in Tucson.

IM GETTING TOWARDS THINKING MY FLIGHT WILL BE CANCELLED.
I have a sixth sense and it is telling me itās not looking good for my flight #693 PHX to HNL.
I am going to bet money my flight gets cancelled because three hours later we are still missing two flight attendants.
We are getting into the crew legality issues for the pilots soon and then we will be dead in Phx.
So I may have to postpone the Hawaii stream. We will see
Just thought Iād give you an update.

PERHAPS MY GOOD LUCK RUNS OUT TODAY!
My inbound flight from PHX was delayed to maintenance. š§āš§
Soooo depending on how bad flow is to PHX, I might miss my connection to Hawaii and my bag may not get to Hawaii, so thatās awesome. lol.
So we will see how good Americansā software of anticipating missed connections and holding flights is.
I donāt have a carry on. I only have a full size bag.
The good news is that American cushions the flight time. It says about an hour, but in reality, flight time is like 35 minute. So we will see.
Oh look another 15 minute delay lol. Itās now taking off at 10:15 am instead of 9:46 am.
In the grand scheme of things, it happens. It just really sucks if my bag gets left behind considering it has my equipment.
I brought the good camera cause I donāt trust the bad camera.
So cross your fingers I make the connecting flight 693 PHX-HNL.
