While sorting parts I had a question that came to mind. Does the Buildable Needler and MOTU Snake Mountain share the same part color? They look fairly similar in the box art. THEY IN FACT DO. As far as I can tell anyway. The plan for a massive build is coming together nicely #halo#halomcc#xbox#mattelbrickshop
Target recently had a sale on @Mattel Brick shops Havoc Staff. I mostly wanted it for purple parts to use on a Covenant MOC but still planned on building it first as is. Just for the experience and to see the techniques used in the building process. Would you all be interested in a review once the build is completed?
Despite playing very little Halo Wars, I have always been obsessed with the Locust. It's such a cool design and has sorely missed potential to be in a mainline game. By the time I got into Mega Bloks, both official iterations were off shelves and I never managed to nab one until very recently.
With this current MOC I tried going for the basic unit. My past customs were always variants of some sort. This model features posable limbs, retractable toes for unstable terrain, 360 degree turntable neck, and an opening carapace.
Mega Construx XRP12 or "Gremlin" Colonial reconnaissance transport.
The Materials Group, XRP12 saw a variety of different uses throughout colonial expansion within the Halo universe. Many planetary recon teams utilized versatile vehicles such as this to survey potential worlds for habitation. Being a reliable and easily modified chassis, it became a favorite amongst survey teams. This particular white and orange variant could transport up to six personnel, core sample rovers, supplies, or scientific equipment out into or from the field.
Using roughly the design as the original green Gremlin, I managed to build this from scraps of another large Probuilder inspired set. It was dug up from storage but thought I'd give it some spotlight. Enjoy!
So I recently bought some parts from Lego through their online pick a brick. First time I've ever done it and was kind of surprised the parts weren't separated. I've bought parts through off brand/knock off vendors and they're always well sorted and in their own separate bags within the package. Lego just goes "eh" and dumped it all in one bag. So much for "ONLY THE BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH".
Is this common from Pick a Brick services? Anyone who uses the service commonly have any thoughts?
