The Research Division at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, hosted a Research Talk on โ€œ๐’๐ก๐ข๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐‹๐ข๐ง๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐…๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž-๐…๐จ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐€๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐š ๐•๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž ๐†๐ฅ๐จ๐›๐š๐ฅ ๐„๐œ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ฒ.โ€





The session began with a brief introduction to the theme by Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ, ๐ˆ๐ˆ๐…๐“. This was followed by an insightful address by Dr. S P Sharma, ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ƒ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ, NEO Economists ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ž๐Ÿ ๐„๐œ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.





From global financial crises to geopolitics and pandemics, Dr. Sharma highlighted why preparedness matters more than prediction, linking this vision to Viksit Bharat 2047 and the need for policy-driven, industry-relevant research.





Dr. Sharma also stressed upon including the views and aspirations of the youth of the country in policy-making and their contribution in achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047.





The programme was led by Dr. Pooja Lakhanpal Sanjeev, ๐‡๐ž๐š๐, ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, and was attended by Dr. Papiya Ghosh(Assistant Professor, IIFT) and Dr. Rithi S.R(Assistant Professor, IIFT), along with faculty members, research scholars, and students.
