When a baby is born, their skin is very delicate. It is much thinner and more sensitive than the skin of an adult. Because of this, rough fabrics, heavy decorations, beads, sequins, or tight materials can easily irritate the skin and cause redness, rashes, or even small injuries.

Soft, breathable clothing is important because it protects the baby’s skin and allows it to stay dry and comfortable. Materials like soft cotton help prevent sweating, friction, and skin infections. Newborns also cannot regulate their body temperature very well, so light and comfortable clothing helps them stay warm without overheating.

Celebrating the arrival of a newborn is a beautiful tradition, but the baby’s comfort and safety should always come first. Simple, soft clothing keeps the baby calm, protected, and healthy during the first delicate days of life.
