In this period of the shortest and darkest days of the year in the northern hemisphere, we need to celebrate Yule more consciously, with friends, family, around a fire or in the heart of nature. We need to take the time to appreciate the symbolism of these suspended days. The log chosen at the summer solstice and carefully preserved to burn throughout the Yule night is ready, the wreaths of holly and mistletoe are placed on the doors of the houses, the continuity of nature, everything will be reborn, the smells of citrus fruits, incense, cinnamon and thyme are spread, Heimdall, Thor, St. Nicholas or Père Noel will bring presents for the youngest, a julbock is present, a little thought for Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr. It's time to come together, to find ourselves, it's the return of life after a hard winter, a warming light piercing the darkness to protect us from the cold, from division. Let's embrace eternal nature once again, the wheel of the year slowly and wisely turns, let's welcome the return of the sun.
