OverEmployment

This one mindset switch made me double my income with two remote jobs.

When you get a comfy remote job, it’s easy to become complacent.

Your pay is good.

You work a couple hours a day.

Maybe you have one or two meetings a day.

Overall it feels like you’ve made it.

Sure I won’t afford mansions and private jet trips, but it’s still an amazing life.

But the issue is, the people around you are NOT taken care of.

Sure I have a great life, but do the people around me?

And if they don’t. Am I even able to help them?

I don’t if I don’t have to, I don’t care if I’m not obligated to help them.

I genuinely WANT to help everyone close to me as much as possible.

And that’s what eliminated any hesitation I had about becoming overemployed.

I wanted more, not just for myself, but for the people around me.

Would you quit your job if you had to return to the office?

OverEmployment

You are way closer to freedom and success than you realize.

The reality is, the traditional job path has never been better.

The pandemic accelerated the remote work path for almost everyone.

You are able to have location freedom.

You can work from anywhere in your country, and even other countries.

You have time freedom, you don’t have to sit at your laptop an actual 8 hours a day.

You are not forced to adhere to a specific work schedule as a remote worker.

You can go to the gym at 10 am if you want.

As long as you get your work done, no one will really care.

And to top it all off, lots of these positions pay top elite salaries.

And at the end of the day, you have time leftover to pursue whatever you desire.

whether that's starting a business, or just spending more time with your friends and family.

OverEmployment

I screwed up. Bad…

I had a meeting conflict and forgot to mute myself at job 1 while I was speaking in my job 2 meeting.

I realized when I went back to my job 1 meeting and they asked me,

“are you busy with something else right now?”

My heart sunk to the bottom of my stomach.

Luckily, my video was off and my coworkers couldn’t see my face turn white like I saw a ghost.

I panicked internally for 3 seconds while realizing what happened.

I knew I had to say something.

Luckily, I prepared for this ahead of time.

I had concocted an excuse once I started my job 2 in case this ever happened.

“Oh sorry, my friends and I are working on a hobby side project and he called me to get an update.”

Is it a good excuse? Not really, but I said it with confidence and it saved me.

1 min later everyone in the meeting moved on, and forgot about it.

You’ll be okay if you mess up, but be prepared..
