1️⃣ YOUR TRADE PLAN MUST ADDRESS FOMC DAY
Do you trade the morning only? Sit it out? Watch without touching the keyboard? Decide before the day arrives — not in the middle of a Fed move. If your trade plan is silent on FOMC, that's the gap to close this week.

2️⃣ SHORTS ARE MICROWAVE TRADES
They need to pay — and pay quickly. Counter-trend trades don't get the same patience as a trend-following long. Get in, get your profit, get out. Don't hold a short hoping for a trend change when bulls are in control.

3️⃣ POSITION IN THE RANGE IS EVERYTHING
Shorts belong at the top of the range. Longs belong at the bottom. Trading against that logic — shorting the lows or buying the highs — stacks the odds against you before you ever place the order.

4️⃣ STRONG LEVELS GET WORN DOWN WITH EVERY TEST
Each test that holds adds conviction to the level... but also beats it up. A level tested five times in one session is more validated and more vulnerable at the same time. Know what multiple tests mean for your trade bias.

5️⃣ THE PREVIOUS DAY OPENING IS ALWAYS ON THE CHART
It acts as a protection layer. When price bounces cleanly off the prior session's opening, it gives your trade a chance to survive. When it breaks — that's your signal. It's not decoration. Use it.

6️⃣ MIXED INDICES = TREAD CAREFULLY
When NQ is holding the halfback strong and Dow is pushing down... nobody's on the same train. The easiest trades come when all the indices are moving together. When they're split, reduce size and expectations.

7️⃣ LOCK PROFITS LIKE A PRO ON HIGH-VOLATILITY DAYS
A good morning on FOMC day is a complete result. 20 points locked, platform closed, DOM off. That's not leaving money on the table — that's protecting what you earned against an afternoon you cannot predict.

8️⃣ CHART JOURNAL, EVEN IF YOU DON'T WRITE A WORD
Mark up your entry. Draw your stop. Note your target. Screenshot it. Review it at the end of the week. The process of going through your own charts — where you should have added, whether your stop was right — that's the hard work that makes the difference.

9️⃣ TRACK YOUR PERFORMANCE ON SPECIAL DAYS
FOMC days. OPEX weeks. CPI mornings. Four-day weekends. If you don't know how you trade on those days, you have no business trading them. The journal knows the truth. Let the data make the rule.

🔟 MACRO COMMENTARY DOESN'T GIVE YOU A TRADE
Paul Tudor Jones is predicting a 35% drop in the S&P. Fascinating. Doesn't give you a trade. Of course it doesn't. Interesting context, not a signal. Know the difference — and keep your eyes on your levels.

10 TRADER LESSONS FROM TODAY'S ZOOM SESSION — April 27, 2026

Key "Take Aways" from today's session 👇

1. No level, no trade. Make price come to you. No prediction trading.

2. At all-time highs, you know sellers have arrived when you see 15-point candles to the south. Until then, bulls control.

3. Don't be the first seller. You don't need to predict the top.

4. Know your week before you trade your day. FOMC and five big tech earnings change everything.

5. Range Rules: price explores above the range, then rotates to the bottom. Map your targets in advance — not in real time.

6. Once your stop is in and your decision is made, close the DOM. Your job is done. Watching every tick invites emotion into a decision that's already been made.

7. Always check NQ, Dow, and Russell before entering. Divergence = caution. Alignment = confidence.

8. The gap between a good trader and a great one isn't knowledge — it's behavior.

9. Your brain is wired to seek bargains — to buy cheap and avoid expensive. In trading, that instinct works against you.

10. You know you've got a pretty good system when it can survive the outsized move.

Boredom + an open platform = bad trades. Between setups, close it. The market will still be there when you come back with a reason to trade.
