If you’re a long-term subscriber, you might be wondering what happened to the “Who Is Luke Skywalker?” video essay I’ve been promising you all year.
Well, I’m still working on it. Actively. But it’s proving a huge undertaking, and I’d rather do it properly than do it quickly. But I won’t want to leave you waiting another six months for it either. SO, I’ve made the decision to split it into 5 chapters - each focusing on a period of Skywalker’s life.
The first of which will release this month. I hope you enjoy.

I appreciate that some of my videos have a slightly wonky narration/music ratio. This is due to a combination of the equipment I use when sound editing and, more pressingly, the fact that I’m hard of hearing and entirely deaf in one ear.
However, I can appreciate the frustration this can cause and I’ll try harder to get the balance right in future videos.

My Superman Returns video essay has hit 1,000 views in less than 2 days. That’s a personal record for my video essays.
Slight caveat.
I know YouTube has changed the metrics for what constitutes a view but nonetheless I’m extremely grateful to everyone who stopped by to check it out.
I’m going through an exceptionally rough time at the moment due to a death in the family on top of the ongoing cancer stuff but knowing I’m building a community of people who want to hear what I have to say and, better yet, share their opinions of it means a very great deal to me.
