Hi All,

First off, I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year! 2024 was an up & down year for this channel. I did a lot of experimenting, mainly with short form content since that appears to be the way of the future, and I think I had a lot of success on that front. Long Form was tougher this year since most of my footage at parks I went to this year was vertical, and my Laptop starting acting up in the Fall, and now I basically don't have access to any of my horizontal footage from before 2024. It is still saved in the cloud, but I haven't been able to get much support from Apple, and the only way I know how to get to the footage back is very rigorous and time consuming. That said, I am still trying to find a solution to this issue to continue making long form videos with my footage.

The other part of that is that I am in a transitional period of my life in many ways, so I have had to pick & choose certain aspects of it to prioritize, which has unfortunately caused the channel to take a backseat at times. It sucks that these events have collided with the beginning of a brand change, and I haven't been able to keep my local audience as engaged as I'd like to. I do believe that there is a future for me on this platform, whether on this channel, working with another channel, or creating a new brand all together on roller coasters, or another topic.

That said, I think there was still a lot of positives from last year. This was the second strongest year ever the channel has had in terms of views, thanks to shorts, and my Canada's Wonderland video. I was also able to secure the channel's first ever brand partnership. 2024 was not my biggest year in terms of travel, but I was able to go to a few parks for the first time, including Silver Dollar City, where I got to experience my first media day event for Fire In The Hole. I toured Canada briefly in July, hitting parks like Canada's Wonderland, and La Ronde for the first time. I also took a trip to Pennsylvania and New Jersey to check out Iron Menace at Dorney Park, and a few other revisits like Great Adventure & Morey's Piers.

I have a couple of long form videos that I'm pretty firm on making within the next month or two. One is a review of Darien Lake's 2024 Season, and my opinion on what the future looks like with the merger. I'm sure you've heard about all the crazy stuff that's been going on in the last couple of months, so I wanted to speak on what I think my be happening in the near future. I am also pretty far along in making an in-depth review on Waldameer Park, which is another local park to me, where I uncovered some under the radar news. Finally, I should (at long last), have a video on Niagara Amusement Park in Grand Island. I've been saying for the longest time that I would make something on this park, but truthfully, there hasn't too much to talk about, but I think I have enough to share to make an interesting video on it.

Beyond those videos, I'm not too sure on what the future holds for this channel. I should have a more firm prognosis on what the future holds for the channel by the Spring, so stayed tuned for that update. In the meantime, I just released a new video on the Top 10 Coasters coming in 2025, so check that out if you have a few minutes. My next park-based countdown will probably be Kennywood. Kennywood only has eight roller coasters, so would guys rather see a straight up coaster ranking, or would you like to see flat rides included as well?

This year, I've opted not to make a Top 25 coasters video because I didn't have any new coasters break into my Top 25, and with the limited time I have to make videos I didn't think it'd be worth it. However, next year I'm thinking I'll expand it to a Top 50 hopefully with plenty of new coasters!
