Pakistan has decided to close its airspace for two days. According to media reports, the Pakistan Airport Authority has issued a NOTAM to all airlines and aviation companies. On October 28 and 29, the airspace will remain closed from 6 AM to 9 AM, and commercial flights have been instructed to take necessary precautions. During the two days, the airspace will be closed for three hours each day. The decision has reportedly been taken in view of possible Indian military exercises near Pakistan’s border. According to the report, specific routes within the Karachi and Lahore flight regions will remain closed for commercial flights.

عینی شاہدین کے مطابق حملہ آوروں نے تھانے کو آگ لگانے کے بعد شہر کی طرف پیش قدمی کی اور بینک و تحصیل آفس کو بھی نذر آتش کر دیا۔ شہر میں وقفے وقفے سے فائرنگ اور دھماکوں کی آوازیں سنائی دیتی رہیں جس کے باعث شہری گھروں میں محصور ہو گئے۔
Bolan, Balochistan: Armed attack on police station in Bhag, SHO martyred, 2 personnel injured

In Bolan’s tehsil Bhag, unidentified armed men attacked the Bhag Nari Levies police station. The attackers, riding on fifteen to twenty motorcycles and equipped with modern weapons, opened fire suddenly, resulting in the martyrdom of the Station House Officer and injuries to two personnel. The incident created panic throughout the area.

According to eyewitnesses, after setting the police station on fire, the assailants moved toward the town and set a bank and the tehsil office ablaze as well. Intermittent gunfire and explosions continued to be heard in the town, forcing residents to remain indoors.

As per media reports, the inquiry committee recorded the statements of Adeel Akbar’s operator, driver, and the doctors. According to the doctor’s statement, Adeel Akbar was suffering from deep-rooted stress. On 8 October, SP Adeel Akbar visited his doctor for a check-up. The doctor had asked him about work-related mental stress, to which Adeel Akbar replied that he was fine there. The doctor stated that Adeel Akbar was disheartened due to not being promoted. Media reports further state that the doctor said Adeel Akbar had mentioned suicidal thoughts several times, and his family and Adeel Akbar had been advised to keep him away from weapons and sharp objects.

According to the report, during his last phone call, Adeel Akbar talked about an incident in the Sabzi Mandi area. Shortly after the call, Adeel Akbar took a gun from his operator and took his own life.

ISPR has stated that incidents of cross-border infiltration from Afghanistan raise serious questions about the interim Afghan government’s intentions regarding counterterrorism.
