The main reason I see guys plateauing with calisthenics is because their program is “random”.

They basically just do a bunch of different exercises that they found online and mixed together.

Now this CAN work, and is obviously better than nothing, but the problem is that it’s much easier to hit plateaus this way.

And plateaus lead to loss of motivation, which in turn leads to struggling with consistency.

Sound familiar?

You can only get so far doing the same type of pushups everyday in your room.

That’s why you need to increase the resistance of your workouts by “upgrading” them with harder exercises.

Then, you need to do this over and over again, week after week — because you’ll always be outgrowing your exercises if you train the right way.

This is what most guys don’t “get” about making progress in calisthenics.

But it’s the only way to build strength and muscle effectively from home without gym equipment.

P.S. On the second slide you see my student Lukas, who made some crazy progress following these simple rules.

Do you know who you have to become to get your dream physique?

Everyone has an answer to this question, and you do as well — even if you don’t know it.

Most guys think they need to stay perfectly consistent and never miss a day of training.

And then, when they inevitably DO miss a few days, they think: “I guess I’m not that guy.”

These type of doubts often lead to guys saying they’ll start tomorrow, next week, or even next year — as if waiting will somehow magically turn them into a new person and they’ll finally be able to achieve their goals.

Well, guess what – you don’t need to become someone else. YOU can do it. Yes, you, as you are right now — you can achieve your goals.

How do I know?

Because I started out with no discipline and very little willpower, and I got to a level far higher than I ever dreamed possible. And every person that you look up to has the exact same story.

Everyone’s born a baby with no discipline, no skills, no nothing.

First we learned to crawl, then we learned to walk, and then we learned to run.

Training is not any different.

Do everything that you can do right now and don’t look back.

I just started with some push ups in my bedroom, very simple.

And there’s no reason why you can’t do it too

Here are 3 easy ways to make achieving your calisthenics goals easier👇

When it comes to strength and physique goals, there’s a hard way and an easy way (or at least easier way) to achieve them.

Most people take the hard way, and as you might know from looking around you — most people don’t have their dream physique. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

Others make it as easy for themselves as possible, and I’ve found that those people achieve their goals far more often.

So here’s 3 ways to make it easier:

Start training with a friend/friends. They’ll give you a push of motivation and hold you accountable when you need it… and you’ll return the favor.

Lock in with your nutrition. Why? Because when you get enough calories and protein consistently, it’s not only easier to build muscle — but it’s much easier to maintain it, too. After all you can train as much as you want, but if your nutrition isn't right, it won't matter much.

Start with a “base plan” that’s easy for you to follow. Then build on top of it if you want. Many of my students for example only train 2 times a week from home (or while traveling, doesn’t matter) — and obviously, this is much easier to adapt to and keep up than 6 days a week at the gym.

Hope that helps, and if you have any questions about any of this, leave them in the comments below and I’ll try to help you out 🤙

Why going to the gym is not for everyone (and what to do instead)

A lot of people don’t know this, but after 1.5 months of weightlifting lifting at the gym, I gave up because it just felt boring to me and left me unmotivated.

Sure, going to the gym and lifting weights can get you your dream physique. But if lifting weights was for everyone, then wouldn’t everyone be in shape by now? We both know it's not, and that’s because 95% of people struggle to get the physique they want because they simply can't stick to traditional training methods.

That’s why I started looking for a different way, until I discovered calisthenics.

It changed everything for me, and it might do the same for you.

So try it out, because it’s easy to get started even in your own bedroom :)

Some people make achieving their strength and physique goals harder than it has to be

Don’t get me wrong, there’s always effort required.

But a lot of people try to rely on pure willpower and discipline at the start of their journey — And while those things are important, the problem is that discipline isn’t built overnight.

It’s a process.

And there are ways to accelerate that process and make it easier, so that you actually achieve your goals (instead of having to start all over again year after year).

One of the best things you can do is to start training with your friends

They’ll call you up when you need an extra push, and you’ll return the favor when they need it. Having friendly competition will also help push you out of your comfort zone. And because of that, you’ll have a much easier time achieving your strength and physique goals in 2025.

Make it easy for yourself to achieve your goals this year, because you deserve it :)

The key to consistency (1-min read)

In calisthenics, the people who keep training are the ones who have been training for quite a while.

And it’s not just pure discipline. It’s also because they’ve experienced life at “both sides.”

Maybe they were super skinny or out of shape in the past, and now they’ve got a strong and muscular physique. And more importantly, now they feel confident in themselves and have more of a presence, whereas before they felt like they never fit in.

So after experiencing those benefits, they don’t wanna “go back” to the way things were.

Especially because it’s pretty easy to maintain your results (without training 6 days a week), when you know what you’re doing.

That’s why my advice is to train until you reach that point, and keep in mind that it’s not always gonna be this hard to stay consistent.

Because when you get some good results, you’ll be much more motivated to keep going.

I used to struggle with my nutrition until I realized that I don’t need to be “perfect” to achieve my goals.

You see, like a lot of people, I thought that to achieve my physique goals, I had to eat the exact right amount of calories I needed every single day. But for most people, that’s just not sustainable. Some days you’ll eat more, other days you’ll eat less.

And that’s okay — because even if you eat 500 calories too much one day or 500 calories too little, you can just make up for that throughout the week and you’ll be all good.

You see, as long as you stay consistent (for the most part), then it’s ok if you’re not perfect every single day. Some days, you might slip, but that doesn’t mean you “failed”. You just took a step back. So get up and take 2 steps forward.

And then you’ll build that consistency over time, which is how everyone does it.

The truth is, NOBODY started with perfect discipline. You don’t need it to move forward. It’ll just accelerate how fast you go forward and how fast you make progress.

Leo

By the way, if you want to know the exact steps to take to get your nutrition right, (without only eating chicken and rice), then I share them here along with how to start training.

A lot of people forget that nobody starts off consistent or disciplined, which means you don’t need those things to achieve your goals

And this is important because you might look at people who have the physique you want, and who talk about how they never skip a day and how consistency is everything. But the thing is, those people weren’t training 6 days a week out the womb😅

I just want to inspire people and show them that we’re no different. Yes, I’ve achieved a lot of my training goals and come further than I ever thought I would. But the truth is, I used to be the guy who quit training, who skipped days and struggled with motivation. And every time I skipped days, I would start doubting myself so much.

But now I’ve proved that even a guy without perfect discipline can achieve his goals.

So never doubt yourself because you skip a day or two. Because if you slip up and take a step back, then just pick yourself up and take 2 steps forward, and you’ll still be making progress. One day you’ll be the guy who trains consistently as easily as you now brush your teeth, but it takes some time to get there.

Leo

By the way, just dropped a 2-day workout plan, which makes it as easy as possible for you to take the first step toward getting stronger and improving your physique (without training 6 days a week). It will also dive into the mentality you should have along with guidance on nutrition. If you found this post helpful, then I’m sure you’ll get a lot out of it. Here it is:
