Nearing a year now since my self destructive mindset peaked, 2021 to 2024. Had a long time to recover, kick habits of old and plenty of time to think about things. Shoulda, woulda, couldas are indeed common thoughts for anyone if and when they reflect.

Regrets aside, I've somehow become increasingly troubled by my inability to snap out of thinking I could of done more when it comes to this person. Arlene.

Those from my previous inner circle know how i know her, but for those who don't know, forgive my vaugness. Regardless, I should of been there, tried more. So my take away from the past year is not only that I needed to kick habits, it's that going forward I will never leave a friend in the lurch if and when they need a shoulder for comfort.
