🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✨️ Hey hello gays! How are you? In these days I've been wondering about a little bit weird thing: how do transgender FTM individuals feel on periods? Of course it is a subjective thing, so many individuals may feel the same way, while many other ones could feel in a total different way.
I wanted to ask you (of course if you ate comfortable with it) if you could share your experience and feelings- if you are born in a girl body but you identify as a boy and/ or any other gender who's not feminine-aligned. ✨🏳️‍⚧️Binder Guidelines🏳️‍⚧️✨
I did some reaserches and so I'm gonna tell you WHERE TO BUY it, HOW MUCH IT COSTS, HOW TO UNDERSTAND your SIZE and OTHER THINGS you should know. Let's start!!
✨🏳️‍⚧️WHERE TO BUY A BINDER🏳️‍⚧️✨
There are many sites online where you can buy binders. For exaple, there is "Trans Shop UK", an online store where you can buy not only binders but even pride flags and enamel pins (pins with your pronouns on it!!). There is even "Spectrum Outfitters", that makes binders with recycled plastic from oceans. You can even buy a binder fron Amazon if you want :).
✨🏳️‍⚧️HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?🏳️‍⚧️✨
The cost of course depends of the type of the binder and depends of the productor/site/ shop. But generally, they cost around 40€ (so at least 46,40$ and 34,65£), but you can find even cheaper ones who can cost like 5€ (5,80$ and 4,33£) and even ones who can cost around 50€ (58$ and 43,32£). For those who can't buy binder because they are too expansive, there are organizations where binders are free, for example there is Point of Pride. There's even Spectrum Outfitters (that I mentioned before) who has binder donation programs.
✨🏳️‍⚧️HOW TO UNDERSTAND YOUR SIZE🏳️‍⚧️✨
Let's start from the assumption that the size can vary from type to type (or brand) of binder.
To understand your size, you have to take accurate chest and ribcage measurements and compare them to the brand's sizing chart. Is way better if you take the chest measurement at the n1ppl3s level that generally is the fullest part of the chest. Soentimes you have to measure your shoulders, in the widest part. Finally, after taking the necessary measurements required by the brand, you need to compare them with the size chart of the binder you want to buy.
✨🏳️‍⚧️IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW🏳️‍⚧️✨
⚧If you are new to using the binder, start with a few hours a day and gradually increase the time of use.
⚧Never wear your binder for more than 8-12 hours a day.
⚧During the day, take a break and take off your binder sometimes.
⚧You must listen to your body, because if you exparience pain or discomfort wearing the binder take ir off immediately.
⚧When you do physical activity you mustn't wear your binder, because it is not healty.
⚧If you have any questions or concerns about using the binder, it is advisable to consult a doctor or healthcare professional.
⚧It is important to pay attention to cleaning the binder to avoid skin irritation.
