GODLY MOTIVATION

Joshua chapter 2 reveals a powerful truth: as children of God, we are not called to live in fear—we are carriers of His presence, a presence that unsettles the kingdom of darkness.

It’s surprising to see believers afraid of witches and wizards, when in reality, those forces should be the ones trembling. When your life is aligned with God, when you walk in obedience and follow His instructions fully, He places His fear upon your enemies and gives you victory.

The story of Rahab brings even deeper encouragement. She boldly declared that the hearts of the people had already melted because of the Israelites. Before they even arrived, God had already gone ahead of them.
This means that your victory is not always something you have to struggle to obtain—it is often something God has already prepared ahead of time.

When you stay where God has positioned you, walk in His will, and build genuine intimacy with Him, your life becomes a threat to darkness. Fear loses its hold. No curse, no evil altar, no generational pattern can override the power of God at work in you.

Joshua 2 also reminds us that God can use anyone who believes in Him. Rahab, despite her past, aligned herself with God’s purpose and became part of a greater story.
Your past does not disqualify you—your faith and alignment position you for preservation and purpose.

So be encouraged: God goes before you.
God defends those who obey Him.
God preserves those who trust Him.

You are not vulnerable—you are covered.
You are not a victim—you are victorious.
And as long as you remain rooted in God, nothing has the final say over your life except Him.

GODLY MOTIVATION

There was a time in my life when I prayed a simple but powerful prayer: “Lord, grant Your desire for my life.”

Someone close to me gently corrected it and said, “You should ask God to grant your own desires.” I smiled, but deep within me, I knew exactly why I chose my words carefully.
I would rather have God’s desire for my life than my own.

Why? Because He is my Creator. He knows me more than I know myself. He designed my purpose before I was even born. His plans are not guesses—they are intentional, perfect, and complete. When I choose His will, I am choosing a path that has already been carefully mapped out for my good.

There is no need struggling to become who God has not called me to be. There is no fulfillment in chasing a life outside His design. Without His permission and guidance, all efforts can become exhausting and empty. True impact, true relevance, and true success come from alignment with Him.

This realization made me reflect deeply on how many of us insist on our own desires over God’s will. We push, we strive, we compete, and sometimes we end up frustrated—not because we are not capable, but because we are not aligned. Many people spend their lives struggling, trying to force results, yet never stepping into the fullness of who they were created to be.

But when you choose God’s desire, everything changes.

Just look at the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and David. They were not perfect people, but they were people who aligned with God’s plan. And because of that alignment, their lives carried purpose, impact, and lasting legacy.

God’s desire will always lead you to the fulfillment of your destiny. It may not always be easy, but it will always be meaningful. It will stretch you, grow you, and position you exactly where you are meant to be.

So today, I encourage you:
Seek God’s desire for your life.
Trust His plan over your own understanding.
Surrender your will, and watch Him bring you into a life of purpose, peace, and true fulfillment.

Because in the end, the safest place to be is in the center of God’s will.

GODLY MOTIVATION

I am not driven by wealth, but by purpose.
In a world where many are chasing money, fame, and quick success, I have chosen a different path. I believe that true wealth is not measured by what I have, but by the purpose I fulfil.

Because at the end of the day, money can come and go… but purpose gives life meaning. Purpose gives direction. Purpose gives peace.

I have learned that not everything that makes me happy will truly fulfil me. Happiness can be temporary, but fulfilment runs deep—it stays even in difficult seasons.
So I choose purpose over pressure.
I choose calling over comfort.
I choose fulfilment over fleeting feelings.
And I trust that as I walk in my purpose, everything I need—including true wealth—will follow in its time.

GODLY MOTIVATION

Romans chapter 14 teaches us a deep lesson about maturity in our walk with God. It warns us against being judgmental, engaging in unnecessary arguments, and condemning others over personal convictions.

As believers, we are not called to sit in the seat of judgment over one another, because each person is accountable to God. He is the true Judge, and He sees the heart behind every action.

Sometimes, we may feel strongly about certain beliefs or practices, but that does not give us the right to look down on others who see things differently. Yes, we may be entitled to our opinions, but the Bible calls us to something higher—love, understanding, and humility. Not everything is worth arguing about. What truly matters is how we are each walking with God personally.

The truth is, everything we do should be unto the Lord, and He alone understands our motives. Instead of focusing on correcting or condemning others, we are encouraged to focus on our own journey of faith and growth in Christ.

God’s expectation for us is clearly seen in verse 13—we should stop condemning one another and instead live carefully, making sure our actions do not cause another believer to stumble or fall. Our lives should reflect consideration, wisdom, and love.
Verse 17 reminds us of what truly matters: the Kingdom of God is not about outward things or minor differences, but about living a life of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. These are the true marks of a believer.

And in verse 19, we are called to pursue harmony and intentionally build each other up. Our words, actions, and attitudes should strengthen the faith of others, not tear them down.

So rather than condemning, let us choose love. Rather than arguing, let us choose peace. Let us grow into believers who uplift, encourage, and reflect Christ in all we do.
May the Lord help us to walk in love, maturity, and unity, in Jesus’ name.

GODLY MOTIVATION

In Romans chapter 4, Father Abraham discovered the secret of what makes a person right with God. It was not his good deeds, his efforts, or religious practices that made him righteous before God. The Bible teaches that Abraham was counted righteous because he believed God.

This shows us an important truth: right standing with God comes through faith, not through works.

To live right with God is first to believe in Him and have faith in His word. Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God.
We cannot truly trust someone we do not believe in.

We cannot genuinely obey someone we do not trust.
And we cannot patiently wait to receive from someone we have no confidence in.
That is why faith is so important.

Our relationship with God begins when we believe Him, trust Him, and rely completely on His promises. It is not our religious activities, our titles, or our outward appearance that make us precious in God's sight. What pleases God most is a heart that believes Him.

The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please God.
Faith makes us walk with God.
Faith makes us trust His timing.
Faith makes us obey even when we do not fully understand.

Just like Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness, when we believe God today, we enter into a right relationship with Him.

So the greatest thing we can offer God is not merely our activities, but our faith — a heart that says, “Lord, I believe You.”

GODLY MOTIVATION

In Jeremiah chapter 42, we gain a clearer understanding of something powerful. In Jeremiah 42:7, the Bible says:
“Ten days later the Lord gave His reply to Jeremiah.”

Ten days.

Enquiring of the Lord does not always mean we will receive an instant answer. Sometimes God makes us wait. And in that waiting, He is testing our patience, our obedience, and our trust.

Many times, when we feel God is slow in responding, we rush ahead and make decisions on our own. Then when the consequences come, we blame God for our predicament—forgetting that we were not patient enough to wait for His direction.

In verse 10, God told the children of Judah:
‘‘Stay here in this land. If you do, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you. For I am sorry about all the punishment I have had to bring upon you”.

And that word is still speaking today.
God is saying:
✓ Do not leave your marriage.
✓Do not abandon that business.
✓Do not quit that job.
✓Remain where I have positioned you.
✓Remain in Nigeria.
✓Remain in that location for your ministry.

Yes, things may be hard.
Yes, there may be hardship, struggles, and even discipline from the Lord.
But God says, “Stay. I will build you. I will plant you. I will establish you.”
Some people are not where God wants them to be—that may be why life feels harder. Some have taken steps without divine direction, and those decisions are now affecting their progress.

What am I saying?
Before you embark on what looks like a quick solution to your challenges, pause. Seek God. Ask for His direction. Be patient enough to hear Him speak. And most importantly, be ready to obey whatever He tells you.

Only through obedience and patience can we truly live and enjoy the life God has designed and destined for us.

Wait on Him.
Hear Him.
Obey Him.
And He will build you up.

GODLY MOTIVATION

In Jeremiah 40:2–3, we see a sobering truth:
The disaster that came upon them was not by accident — it was because they sinned against the Lord and refused to obey His voice.

When I read those verses, I paused and prayed a simple but deep prayer:
“Lord, if any ugly and unbearable situation I am facing is a result of sin or disobedience, please have mercy on me.

Any act of disobedience that has opened the door to hardship in my life, my job, my business, my family, or my ministry — Father, have mercy.”

Sometimes we wonder why certain battles seem prolonged. We question why prayers feel unanswered. But could it be that some of the painful experiences we blame on delay are actually consequences of disobedience?
This is not condemnation — it is a call to reflection.

Let us look inward today.
How obedient are we to God?
How do we treat the people around us?
Are we truly walking in His instructions?

Mercy is available. God is not looking to destroy — He is looking to restore.

Let us do the needful and ask for mercy today.
May the Lord, by His mercy, put an end to every disaster that came as a result of sin in our lives.

May His compassion speak louder than our mistakes.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

GODLY MOTIVATION

Jeremiah 39:17–18
Even in the midst of judgment, destruction, and captivity in Jeremiah chapter 39, when Jerusalem fell and the king was captured, God still singled out one man who trusted Him. While many were carried away in fear and defeat, God remembered the one who believed.

You cannot truly believe someone you do not trust. Trust is the foundation of faith. Where there is no trust, there can be no confidence. And where there is no confidence, there can be no rest.

Verse 18 says, “Because you trusted Me…”
That statement alone changes everything.
In the middle of chaos, God located the one who trusted Him and preserved his life. This shows us that trust in God separates you—even in difficult seasons.

And God is still saying the same thing to you this morning:
“If only you will trust Me, I will rescue you. I will single you out. I will give you the life I have prepared for you.”

We can never go wrong placing 100% of our trust in God. He desires that we depend on Him completely—for our survival, our direction, and our destiny. He made you. He owns you. Everything you are belongs to Him. He alone determines the course of your life.

When we put our trust in people or material things above God, we prolong our wilderness experience. We expose ourselves to unnecessary struggles and give the enemy room to operate.
But when we trust God fully, He steps in fully.

Today, make a decision:
Trust Him in the uncertainty.
Trust Him in the waiting.
Trust Him in the storm.

Because the God who spoke in Jeremiah 39 still speaks today—
And He still rescues those who trust Him.
