I officially have opened a Substack and posted my first essay! My Substack is going to be for reviewing and analyzing fiction I like, mostly K-dramas and anime.

I'm thinking about potentially turning some of my essays into video essays for people to watch since most people don't read nowadays. Not sure yet if I will be posting them on this channel alongside my edits or on a separate channel, but just thought I would share. I don't think I'll make a video for every article I write, but I thought it is something I might potentially do for shows I am more passionate about and already have footage for because of making edits for them.

Happy fifth anniversary to Tale of the Nine Tailed!!! 🦊🦊💜💜

I wanted to get an FMV done today but ran into rendering problems and wasn't able to finish it on time. Hoping to get that video out soon.

As I have said in previous posts, anytime I get attached to a series or character hardcore I am usually attached to it for life. I am still very attached to TOTNT and have many more edits I would like to make for it. I just haven't been able to get around to it this year from lack of motivation/executive functioning, work schedule, health problems, etc.

As I also said earlier, I did try to take a mental break from TOTNT for a while until news of season 3 or the animation, but at this point it's been so long I feel doubtful either one will happen. (LDW implied on Bubble he didn't want to do S3, and who knows what happened to the plans for the animation.) I still have fond feelings of TOTNT, especially the original season. Perhaps because I strongly associate TOTNT with October due to its release date and visuals (and it's a full moon right now) I've been feeling nostalgia for it recently.

Anyways, that is just my life update! Even if I struggle to post sometimes, I am still here and planning to edit more in the future!

Just wanted to write an update and say I'm still alive! Sorry for the inactivity lately with making videos. I have several hobbies (writing, drawing, video editing) and I'm pretty slow at all of them (it takes me 3-4 full days of non-stop work to get a chapter, drawing, or a video done, usually). I've mostly just been struggling with finding motivation lately to make videos. Or really making anything at all. I don't have the greatest executive functioning??? So that has always been an obstacle for me putting out any kind of creative work with any consistency. Even when I WANT to make things, I can't always bring myself to do it. Idk how so many big vidding accounts put out a video every week. I'm not great at task switching either, so whenever I DO get big into drawing or writing, videos end up getting put on the back burner and vice versa. My free time also depends greatly on my current schedule at work.

To be frank, especially the more I sit on it, I really didn't enjoy S2 of TOTNT nearly as much as TOTNT S1, which has deterred me from working on edits. I know this seems to be a common opinion of the Korean Twitter fans that I've seen, but not so much for international fans, so that may come as a surprise. On top of feeling anxious about general lack of motivation/how I felt about S2, the anticipation of waiting on any news for the TOTNT animation and possibly S3 (even though LDW already pretty much said he doesn't want to do S3) had me feeling so worried that I straight up tried to step back and distance myself from thinking about TOTNT for a while for my mental health LOL. For a lack of a better term, I think I'm pretty much hyperfixated on TOTNT so I'm not going to be able to really let go of it. I love Lee Rang and YeonRang wayyyy too much. I have like 3 different shows I'm obsessed with longterm for eternity and whichever one I talk about/make the most content for just depends on whichever one I am currently rewatching, and TOTNT S1 crept into that rare caliber of love for me. So I do intend to continue making several edits for it, just know for various reasons I can't really predict when I am going to be motivated and pumping out a ton of TOTNT edits at once versus when I will drop of the face of the earth. But know even if I drop of the face of the earth, I always intend to come back here and make more edits eventually. There are a few more shows I would like to make edits for as well, but a big deterrent for me has been struggling to find footage to work with.

I have been kind of feeling like making YeonRang edits again lately (in within the last week or two), but I keep struggling to start, and my work schedule this 6 week period isn't super great in allowing me enough time to do so. Anyway, thank you for those of you who watch and support my videos. I do this just for fun and it has been very cool to see how many people like them. This channel will probably always have periods of time where I am active and where I go a long time without being active, so I just wanted to let you know that! I have no intention of ever completely giving up vidding though. No matter how inactive I may become, I always intend to come back with another video eventually.

Sorry I have been so inactive lately. I just graduated college and started my career 💀 My schedule has changed this week from what it was before, so I hope from now on I'll have a somewhat easier time finding time to edit videos.

This is still an account where I intend to post mostly FMVs/AMVs, but I've been wondering about potentially making a few video essays for Tale of the Nine Tailed? 🤔🤔🤔 I don't see much video essays made for kdramas even though video essays are more popular nowadays than they used to be. Actually, outside of like 2-5 big episode reaction channels I don't feel like kdramas gets posted about much on YouTube in any format other than FMVs or unedited scenes. Idk if that means people aren't interested in that content, or if it's just there is no way for people to watch it if they wanted to because kdrama video essays don't really exist. Anyway, I thought about at the very least making an analysis of season 1 and of Lee Rang's character, but how much else videos I make may depend on how indepth my initial overall season review is vs if I have enough thoughts enough leftover to break it into several video topics. I don't think I would make much video essays for anything else though cause I don't want to accidentally spread misinformation by reviewing a show if I only watched it like one time and missed a bunch of things 💀

Hey guys! I have indeed finished watching Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 and I plan to make FMVs for it. I have already started working on some, actually. I'm just a very slow editor and my life is pretty busy right now.

I have plenty of TOTNT FMV ideas still left (like,, at least 25 videos 💀 probably enough to still be making them by the time season 3 comes out, should season 3 get confirmed). Kind of an unpopular opinion on the international audience side, but I am still a bigger fan of season 1 after having finished season 2. But I do have ideas for edits for season 1 only, season 2 only, and using clips from both. I will be writing in the title of my videos which seasons I use clips from in order to avoid spoiling people who may have only seen one season! The brothers are still my ultimate favs and so my edits will still be mostly of them (and I haven't seen that many FMVs made for them this season so far, unfortunately! Maybe it's too early?).

Hoping I can get some videos done soon. 😭

Hey guys, I AM watching Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 right now but I probably won't make any FMVs for it until it is finished airing. I feel like FMVs that are released as the show is airing do get the most views, but I'm too scared to make an edit and have regrets later about not using scenes from later in the show 💀 so I will be waiting until then. I do have several ideas already. I also still have a ton of season 1 edits that I want to make.

As of right now, I'm still more emotionally attached to s1 than s2 because s1 was a lot more tonally serious/emotional in the portrayal of the brothers' relationship and took a deeper dive into Rang's psychology? S2 has been pretty lighthearted so far, and while there has been more screentime of Rang this season than last season, I feel like we're not seeing as deeply into his POV or his feelings toward Yeon this season (although I really like how we're getting a more in-depth exploration of Yeon's mistakes and his view of Rang so far in s2). I'm hoping the brothers get more emotional focus as we get closer to the finale. This season seems to be focusing on sibling relationships overall thematically based on the other characters' backstories and motivations, and Yeon will have to in some way either save Rang or leave Rang behind at the end of s2. So I'm hoping/anticipating that means it will inevitably pull at my heartstrings more as we approach the second half. 🤞🤞 (I get more attached to series that make me sad idk why. Maybe I am just an edgy angst-lover.)

Ya'll I'm so sorry to any Russian viewers, apparently 3 of my videos (Somebody To Die For & Afraid short and full versions) have been blocked in Russia by YouTube :') Hopefully YouTube will unblock them at some point. For now, they are unblocked on my Instagram.
