I need your help. I’m trying to decide which video I should film for next Wednesday. I have two ideas and I can’t choose. So I’m going to give y’all a brief description of each video and y’all let me know which one you want to see. The option with the most votes by Friday evening will be next Wednesday’s video.
1. Cleaning/Updating my TBR Cart: My TBR cart is a mess right now. So I figured I would bring you with me to get some supplies to update my TBR cart and choose which books I should actually add to the cart.
2. The Book Soundtrack: This will be a new series on my channel where I pick a book or series and create a soundtrack that I believe perfectly depicts the vibes/feelings of the book. For this first episode I will be featuring Parachutes by Takerra Allen.
There will be no new upload tonight. This has already been a long week and it’s only Wednesday 🤦🏽♀️ I will be back on Saturday with the first reading vlog for my 25 Books by Black Authors in 25 Genres challenge. Saturday’s video is going to be a good one ☺️🥰
Series September introduced me to two new series that have now become favorites of mine. Find out what they are and what is on my October TBR in today’s video 🫶🏽
Last week we took my 25 Books by Black Authors in 25 Genres TBR to the library to see how many books I could find for free. This week, we are taking the same TBR list and going to one of my favorite places, Barnes & Noble, to see how many books I can find.
Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start 🫶🏽
Is anyone watching A Different World on Netflix? I’ve watched the first five episodes and I am loving it so far! I plan on finishing the last five episodes tonight but I already know I need a season 2,3,4, and 5!
I need someone to talk about it with. If you have watched, let me know your thoughts, feelings, and predictions down in the comments.
We are trying some new things here at Nala's Reading Room. Instead of a new video dropping tomorrow, I am excited (and a little nervous 😭) to announce that I’ll be going LIVE for the very first time! 🎉
Join me tomorrow at 8pm EST for a reading sprint, as I try to finish up my Series September TBR. So grab your current read, your favorite drink, and a snack because it’s time to get some reading done before September ends next week!
Last week I gave you my TBR for the 25 Books by Black Authors in 25 Genres challenge. This week, we are going to the library to see how many books from my challenge TBR I can find. I also give a Series September reading update.

Once of my goals for this year was to discover and read new genres. To accomplish this goal, I am participating in the 25 Books by Black Authors in 25 Genres reading challenge. I will be documenting my journey while completing this challenge.
First up, is my challenge TBR. Check it out below 🫶🏽
