A week and a half after releasing DBZ Sparking! HYPER, reaching 3k subscribers, almost 2.3k downloads, 1.2k likes, and over 100 comments (most of which I’ve read and/or replied to)… I’m beyond grateful and honored.
Next week, I plan to release a patcher for HYPER, given the few bugs that were reported to me. Again, just to be clear - there won’t be another version or beta of HYPER. I may have retired from modding, but not programming. The 9th of September marked its final release, and the patcher is there… to patch things. Shocker, I know.
On the other hand, such a rise in stats over a brief period of time, for a project that was mainly pushed towards a new audience (thanks to YouTube’s recommendations), doesn’t even feel earned. I ranted enough about this on Bluesky, but the simple gist is that in spite of the plethora of information about the project (its website, the commentary videos, the mod showcases), its vision was either misinterpreted or confused for something else (like a DLC for BT3, despite it literally taking away characters). It’s led to me having to reiterate and debunk many points in the comment section.
I get that all publicity is good publicity, and I’m still open to feedback and criticism (preferably constructive), but I will not stand for misinformation or lack of information. As my last means of clearing the air, I might come back to commentating, and make a video solely on HYPER’s mixed reception. It sure is better than my original idea of a Valve-inspired, 9-page developer commentary. Too fancy for what is essentially a modded BT3 ISO. lol
With the great advancements made in Dragon History scenario modding, @MetalFreezer3000 has remade my Unexpected Help mod as an effort to make the scenario more accurate to the anime. Comes with Chris Ayres (RIP) and Linda Young voice lines!
It also includes its own version of the What-If I had originally implemented, in which Goku (instead of Trunks) fights Frieza and Cold.
Check out my latest collab between me and kuxxi. (FW)! For those not aware, this isn’t the first time we’ve made a mod together, given that we also worked on Gokule. https://youtu.be/aGojoS_7RQY
I was a subject of yet another unused videogame content video, that regurgitates TCRF articles I've written. Here is my response: https://youtu.be/z9txRUYE0r0

If you are a modder of old DBZ games (Budokai, Tenkaichi, Raging Blast), I’m sure you’ll relate to this lol

Let’s say, hypothetically, my friend wanted to make a mod with me.
Now, for the sake of the argument, he had just two ideas for what it could be (new character, not reskin).
Following this, which character would you vote for?

I was a subject of yet another unused videogame content video, that regurgitates TCRF articles I've written.
