Ang pagkakaiba ng NS40 at NS50 na baterya ng sasakyan ay nakadepende sa laki, kapasidad ng kuryente, at kung anong uri ng sasakyan ang gumagamit nito. Pareho silang sumusunod sa JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard).
Narito ang mga pangunahing pagkakaiba:
1. Sukat (Physical Size)
Ang NS50 ay mas malaki at mas malapad kumpara sa NS40.
NS40: Mas maliit at compact. Karaniwang nasa 196mm ang haba at 128mm ang lapad.
NS50: Mas mahaba at mas malapad. Karaniwang nasa 237mm ang haba at 171mm ang lapad.
2. Lakas at Kapasidad (Power Capacity)
Dahil mas malaki ang NS50, mas marami itong lamang plates kaya mas mataas ang kuryenteng naibibigay nito.
Ampere Hour (Ah): Ang NS40 ay karaniwang may 35Ah hanggang 40Ah. Ang NS50 naman ay mas mataas, nasa 45Ah hanggang 52Ah.
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA): Ito ang lakas ng baterya para paandarin ang makina. Mas mataas ang CCA ng NS50 (nasa 400-480) kumpara sa NS40 (nasa 300-340).
3. Gamit sa Sasakyan
NS40 (1SN): Karaniwang ginagamit sa mga maliliit na sasakyan o hatchbacks na may makinang 1.0L hanggang 1.3L.
NS50 (1SM): Ginagamit sa mga mid-sized sedans, crossovers, o mga SUV na may mas malaking makina (1.5L pataas) at mas maraming accessories.
