It’s been 12 years for you, but 5 years for me. I met you in 2020, during a time when the world felt heavy and everything around me felt dark. But somehow, your music reached me and became my light.

People often ask, “How did BTS heal you?”
And I can’t explain it in just one way. Maybe it was when you said:
“You gave me the best of me, so you’ll give you the best of you” (Magic Shop)
and
“I’m the one I should love in this world” (Epiphany)
That was the first time I ever believed in myself.

You told me:
“Love myself, love myself, peace” (Answer: Love Myself)
And taught me:
“Don’t be afraid, don’t worry yourself / The end and the beginning, beginning and the end are connected” (Zero O'Clock)
and somehow, it gave me hope that even hard times will reset.

I laughed with Run BTS, found comfort in your words, and strength in your songs. You weren’t just idols you became my safe place.

Each of you left a mark on me:

Jin, with his confidence, made me say “I’m Miss World, y’know?” because if he can own it, why can’t I?
Namjoon (RM) taught me how to take the pain the world gave me and turn it into strength. “If you can’t fly, then run… walk… crawl… just keep going” (Not Today) that line never left me.
Suga told me to stop pleasing the world and start living for myself. “Don’t be afraid, love is the way” and “Eff the haters, eff the noise” gave me freedom.
J-Hope, with his energy and heart, reminded me that “I’m your hope, you’re my hope” and now I say that to myself on hard days.
Jimin gave me softness without shame “Promise me you won’t let go of my hand” a line that hugged me in silence.
V reminded me that even pain can be beautiful. “Don’t be in pain, smile for me” and I did
Jungkook, with his passion, made me dream again. “My heart’s on fire for your love” (Fake Love) because your music kept it burning.

You also told me:
“It’s okay to stop. You don’t have to run without knowing why.” (Paradise)
That hit me hard. Because sometimes, I needed to hear that I’m allowed to rest

I don’t know if I’ll ever get to meet you in person, but that’s okay
Because you’re already with me ~ in every lyric I carry, every smile you gave me, and every step I take with more confidence now
