भारत की सबसे लंबी रेल सुरंग हुई आरपार। देवप्रयाग से जनासू तक इस रेल सुरंग की लंबाई है- 14 km.
इस सुरंग को टीबीएम यानी टनल बोरिंग मशीन के जरिये तैयार किया गया है। आज ब्रेक थ्रू के मौके पर केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्वनी वैष्णव, मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी, गढ़वाल सांसद अनिल बलूनी भी उपस्थित।

उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सोमवार को डाट काली मंदिर देहरादून के समीप दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेस वे के निर्माण कार्यों का स्थलीय निरीक्षण किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने एक्सप्रेस वे के निर्माण में इस्तेमाल हो रही आधुनिक तकनीकों और पर्यावरणीय सुरक्षा उपायों के बारे में अधिकारियों से जानकारी प्राप्त की। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि देहरादून की सीमा में दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेस वे का कार्य लगभग पूरा हो गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री के निरीक्षण के बाद उम्मीद जताई जा रही है कि दिसम्बर लास्ट तक या जनवरी शुरुआत में गणेशपुर (यूपी) से आशारोड़ी (देहरादून) तक सेक्शन 4 (पैकेज 4) वाहनों के लिए खुल जाएगा।
