December Update! ✨🎄✨

Following my decision to pivot away from The Sims, I’ve been playing a few demos to find games I’d like to share and record in the new year. If you have any games you’d like me to check out, please let me know!

I’ve also finished recording Jane’s story, and plan to release the last two episodes in the next month or so. Please let me know if you want me to continue the legacy when Paralives comes out in May.

The final livestream of Is This Seat Taken? has been schedule for next Saturday, but if you miss it, or have missed the previous streams, you can find them all under the Live section on the channel!

Cosy Calm

Hey Cosy Bears! I wanted to give you all an update on what I’m planning for the future of this channel.

It is my intention to always keep Cosy Calm a safe space. I haven’t spoken about this before, but I had a mental breakdown a few years ago. I couldn’t think, read, write, or speak. It was as if my brain completely shut down, and I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. It’s been three years and thankfully I’ve made incredible progress, but I’m still recovering. What made me want to start a YouTube channel was my realisation that there were very few shows and channels that people could watch and truly relax to. Where they could let their guard down, and not have to worry about the content or language used.

With this in mind, and having taken time to reflect on the recent news of EA being privatised, I wanted let you all know my final decision moving forward. I’m planning three more episodes of Life’s A Peach after episode eight. Jane’s story should then be complete. I will then be moving Life’s A Peach to Paralives, and most of my content will be focussed on that, with a few other cosy games sprinkled in between.

Paralives will be in early access this December, which means it will have bugs and less content than planned for the full release, but I’m SUPER EXCITED to start playing it! I’ve been following the game’s progress for a while and the team have put soo much thought and care into it! I’ve already started planning this alternate universe, and I think it’s something we’ll all really enjoy! 🧡

Thank you all soo much for your continued support! Together our Cosy Bear family will grow from strength to strength, and I can’t wait to see what we achieve! 🤍

Hey Cosy Bears, there’s a few things I’d like to mention today.

Firstly my PC got “misplaced”, which means I’m now behind on recording. A complaint has been opened with Dell, and they’re trying to get another one shipped via a different delivery company, so hopefully I’ll have that one soon. However, this month’s Life’s A Peach video might be a little late. I’ve now recorded the rest of EP8, so all that needs to be done is the editing. I’m sorry for the wait!

I think it’s important that I mention the recent news about EA as well. Next summer is when EA will become privately owned, but until then no one knows what’s going to happen. I will be finishing Jane’s story this year and in December will be pivoting to Paralives. I won’t be doing anymore kit reviews and will only be focusing on Life’s A Peach. 🍑

Depending on what happens, I might continue playing The Sims, but it has to align with my values and expectations of being LGBTQ+ friendly, and continually improving on diversity within the game. The Sims has been an important part of soo many people’s lives, including my own. If it fails to keep its diversity and improve its standards, I refuse to support it anymore.

Cosy Calm is a safe space, and I will always keep it that way. 🤍 Please know you are not alone in feeling scared and devastated by this news.

Thankfully, Paralives will be in early access this December. This will mean that it will have bugs, and less content than what it’ll have when officially released outside of early access. I am incredible grateful to the team working on this game which may become a safe space to turn to away from The Sims. I’ve been following them for a while and the game looks truly awesome! I’m very excited to show you all what Paralives is like, and may continue Life’s A Peach on that. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in. 🧡

Hey Cosy Bears! ✨

I have some very exciting news! I am finally getting a PC! 🎉

I was filming Life’s A Peach Episode 8 last weekend, and got really frustrated with how slow and laggy the game was when recording. So I had a look at what I could afford, and ordered a proper desktop! From the middle of EP8 onwards I will be using the new PC to record, and will finally be able to recycle my 11 year old laptop. ♻️

In my gameplay reaction video I mentioned that I won’t have time to play a mini series with Adventure Awaits, but when I get the new PC, it should be able to handle live streaming. In the comments, please let me know if you’d be interested in watching a few livestreams of mine on YT.
