But Why?

A bit of an update.

First bad news.

While installing a new SSD, I was on autopilot and input a 0 instead of a 1 and formatted my hard-drive with all my previous video work. Since this particular hard-drive was using partitions, the smaller partition with my work is just... gone? I personally tried recovering files, then brought it to a shop nearby, but we can't find that partition or any files that were associated to it. I can only blame the hubris of man as to why I continually thought of backing up my files and then proceeded not to.

Silver lining, I only lost about 3 hours of work I've put into the new video. But I won't be able to re-use any of my old assets I made, so it may take a bit longer now to recreate assets as the need arises.

If anyone has any ideas for cute character designs/shapes that requires less animation on my part, I'd love to see/hear of them. I may take this opportunity to recast the humanoid people instead of re-rigging them.

Better news:

I'm retiring my old janky logo for a new one. I'm currently playing with color combinations and when I have four I am happy with I'll have you all vote on which one you prefer.

Anyways, learn from my mistake.

Update:
I've always wanted to push my channel into raytracing someday and this next video will be the first. As a result I'm about two weeks behind schedule where I wanted to be. I was waiting for a Render farm I wanted to use to update to the new faster Raytracing engine in the new Blender version.

I'm hoping to be done by next Monday (the 27th) but I also gotta write new backing music to keep things fresh so that could delay an extra day or two.
But at least this will be the best looking video so far.

New video is basically done. Will be posted by tomorrow evening at the latest. I wanted to readjust the focus like 3 weeks ago, sorry for the delay. But I got some really cool state-of-the-art simulations as a result.

With the growth of the channel I feel an increased responsibility to be as accurate and in depth as possible to avoid any misinformation. Thus, I'm super excited to announce that I will be working with a proper Astrophysicist for future videos on Astronomy and Astrophysics.

The next video will be a little delayed as I have been waiting for his input on some of the more precise elements of the next video. But I am really excited as this will certainly be the most in-depth video on this topic.

It has been brought to my attention that YouTube may have put ads in front of some of my videos. I have not enabled monetization nor wanted ads on my videos. I didn't start this channel for any financial reason. However, I do know YT changed their Terms of Service like a year ago granting them permission to put ads on any video regardless of monetization.

I would like to make sure this is true. Please let me know.
