I can’t believe how fast October has gone!

How are you all?

Fairyland is going through many changes at the moment with our little fairy growing so fast and the season changing to a cool and wet Autumn seemingly overnight.

I’ve decided to put a pause on the monthly videos for the foreseeable future. The landscape at fairyland cottage is changing and I’ll see what direction the content will take when the time is right.

I’ll check in monthly on the community page.
I’m so very fond of the community here and anyone can email me at info@fairylandcottage.com if they ever fancy a chat.

Hello there from fairyland cottage.

There won’t be a video for the month of September. It’s been a month of rain, wind, mushrooms and cloudy skies. Terry has been away working on set so it’s been a quiet month. We’ve popped outside every time the rain eased! The puddles have been abundant 🌧️

I’d love to know how you all are and how is life on your side of the world?

Hello lovely friends,

I thought I'd check in before the New Year.
How is everyone getting on?
Thank you for all the wonderful kind wishes from the last post. I miss you all dearly!

We are having a cosy relaxing time here in the cottage. The fire is lit daily and I'm enjoying all the baby fun.
We have relaxed the Christmas decorations this year with a few fairy lights and pine cones doing the job nicely.

and let me know your favourite. I love the festive evening routine. With a new born, routine has gone out the window and I am learning to let go of all the chores that need to get done and just go with the flow more. You all shared how quick the time goes so I'm soaking in each precious moment.

*** NEWS FROM FAIRYLAND ***

Greetings worldwide friends,
As most of you guessed over the last few months we have a new addition to the fairyland family. A little girl was born at home in the cottage in October. She is a little pixie. She is healthy, happy and drinking milk all day long.
Parenthood is a wonderful experience so far and we are enjoying spending all our time with her.
Thanks to everyone who stayed waiting for the news. We are both delighted to share it with you all.
We will be continuing our break for the foreseeable future as all of our time is being absorbed with our little one.

How are you all?
Looking back at the above video from two years ago. I'm surprised by how many flowers we had in bloom this time in 2019. This year wasn't the best year for flowers but I had some new varieties particularly calendula and purple malvia.

It's been a slow week here of sea swimming and harvesting. Autumn is taking it's time to unfold here in Ireland.

How has your week been?
We've had lovely sun during the week and I've been swimming in the sea most days.

As the seasons change it's nice to start incorporating warm foods into your diet which are also high in fibre. Did you know that most people are hugely deficient in fibre and it can have an adverse effect on the health of our body so at this time of year I check in with my diet, eat as seasonal and local as I can and increase my fibre intake.
Let me know how your diet changes at this time of year and what seasonal berries or vegetables you have in your country at this time.

Thanks for the kind support last week on my post. It's feels odd not posting a weekly video so I love reading your comments and connecting with you here and on instagram.

During my years working as a nurse, helping people get the best sleep was at the forefront of my care plan. It's often overlooked and yet pertinent for good health and wellbeing.
The seasons are changing from Summer to Autumn and this can bring some disruption to the body and make us feel a bit out of sorts, so a good evening routine can help us stay balanced and healthy during this time of transition, giving us a much needed and restorative night's rest.

Happy Sunday friends! I thought I'd keep in touch every Sunday and share old videos that I love. This video is from a year ago...Minimal Living on a Rainy Day.
They are always my favourite to film and watch. There is something therapeutic and relaxing about the sound of rain and as we head into Autumn it's coming more frequently here in Ireland.
