Information regarding BITS 3+2 programme

While filling the preference for BITS counselling, you must have seen the option to apply for BITS 3+2 programme. It’s a new programme being launched in 2025.

We called up the authorities to get more information about it for our students.

-What is it?
BITS 3+2 is a 5 year dual degree programme of BE + MBA

3 years BE at Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad
2 years MBA in BITS School of Management (BITSoM), Mumbai

You will get 2 separate degrees, not one combined. No need to answer MBA entrances like CAT, XAT etc.

-Cutoffs
It will have separate cutoff(s)
Nobody knows about the cutoffs as it’s a new programme but it's expected to be lower than others.

-Total fees
In total the amount will go upto ~52L for 5 years. (24L in BITS + 28.5L in BITSoM)

Don’t be surprised, MBA fees are 25-27L even in top IIMs

-Internships
Not very clear information but you won’t have practice school normally like single and dual degrees. It will be split differently with one internship during MBA.

-Placements

-You will be required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7 in BITS to be eligible for MBA. No clear information about what happens if you fail to do so.
-Only consider choosing this programme if you’re sure about doing MBA after engineering.

Dear Phodu Club-mates,

Over the past two years, our WhatsApp groups have been a cornerstone of support for 15,000+ students. We’re grateful for the connections and guidance you’ve shared there.

As we continue to grow, we’re making a few adjustments to ensure everyone gets the best experience. Here’s what’s changing:

Starting 21st April 2025, new students will receive updates, resources and session reminders via our Telegram channel instead of WhatsApp group.

We’ll host regular live sessions as always where you can interact directly with mentors in QnA meets and get strategies and guidance.

Why the Shift?

Simpler Access: Telegram lets us share updates with everyone at once, so you won’t miss critical information.

Better Organisation: Important announcements will be pinned and easy to find, even if you join later. No clutter like WhatsApp. Commonly asked doubts will be answers in the telegram channel itself.

For Existing Members
Your current WhatsApp groups will remain active -- no changes there! This update applies only to students joining from 21st April 2025 onward.

Phodu Club lunch meet at BITS Goa!💜

We promise a treat to everyone who joins BITS from Phodu Club.

The Pilani and Hyderabad ones were already done. Goa was long due.

There are 300+ students in BITS Goa from Phodu Club!

But due to classes and college work, these many could make it.

Always lovely to see our club-mates (especially in this custom merch😎)
