I really do appreciate so many of these beautiful influencers, who choose to respectfully highlight and share the ways we are able to pamper ourselves. I remember when I used to be able to massages, whole body, and foot. Those gift certificates were such a treat. Now, thanks to ease of finding deals, and learning simple ways to care for ourselves (like grinding up a little coffee for a face scrub, smelling fancy and feeling fun), we can find new ways to give ourselves comfort, when we have the chance.

I'm still a bit in shock that this show is real: a Cirque du Soleil show called 'CRYSTAL.' Looking through their gallery, The chaos of the "ice" dancers is amazing, reminds me of how the thoughts and people online "feel" to me. The office scenes look amazing and remind me of those stifling office days. The way they portrayed this character's inner world and her journey to self-acceptance... it honestly made me sob in "soulfully being seen"...and I haven't even seen the show yet! It felt like someone had taken the messy, complicated parts of my own life and turned them into something beautiful and meaningful, it also felt like someone created an AI prank, at first. It was such a powerful feeling of being seen and understood on a really profound level. Luckily I get to see the show at the end of May. The Gallery, the artisty, the whole beautiful gift of soulful expression... it felt like a hug from Humanity and that has made a difference on my healing to empowerment journey. Far too common. When my last relationship had been shown how much his anxious/avoidant behavior was destabilizing me, and inflaming my CPTSD episodes, he understood he was making serious harm and we broke up. I was fortunate that he understood it was hurting me and he didn't want to be a part of that. He also realized he didn't have enough experience or awareness to be in a relationship with a person, like me, who is still healing from toxic relationships. Recovery takes time. I am safe and stable when alone, and now when I am around my roommate (my former ex). We are focused on both of our better behaviors with boundaries and limitations. I'm grateful to see these discussions and moving beyond these traps.

Me attempting to visit Lane Bryant only to really see that thrift stores are going to be the treasure stores of clothing for me.
