Hi guys! I hope you're all doing well. It's been a while since I've posted, I've been very busy with school. I plan on uploading more live audio from the Tempts concert in Santa Barbara in the 80s, if there is anything you'd like to see let me know! I also got the chance to photograph for Glenn Leonard not long ago. It was the experience of a lifetime, and if you ever get the chance to see him perform live, absolutely take it. Mr. Leonard is one of the nicest men I've had the pleasure to meet, along with his entire group and crew. Stay well, be well
My video of the Temptations performing "I Can't Get Next To You" during their reunion on the Solid Gold show was copyright striked and taken down. It's not a big deal at all, the full performance is still on youtube! My video only fixed the audio and removed a small segment, but it's nothing that can't be done again. Go check out the original video! In other news, the Midnight Special finally released their episode featuring the Temptations. It's a great HD upload of the group in '75, with their newest member at the time, Glenn Leonard!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpqnu... Be well, B
Otis Redding wrote "Respect", Aretha Franklin made it her own, and here is Otis' final show, performing Aretha's version. The original version of "Respect" didn't feature the iconic line spelling out the namesake- "R-E-S-P-E-C-T
- Find out what it means to me". Aretha's version became the definitive version of the song, and it's cool to see Otis performing it on what would unfortunately be one of his and some of the Bar-Kays final performances.
Rest in heavenly peace, Abdul "Duke" Fakir. He passed away at home, in Detroit. As of today, June 22 2024, every original Four Top has passed away. Martha Reeves said - "All four of the Tops were fine, handsome men and sang with champion voices. Duke had one of the sweetest tenor voices you could hear. You could distinguish him in the harmony, that operatic voice in the background. The Four Tops were the gentlemen of the groups at Motown — and they were the A singers of the Motown team.” The Four Tops were legendary pioneers, shaping the way music would develop. After the death of his bandmates, Duke kept the legacy of the Tops alive, recruiting new members. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Temptations Reunion Interview!!! Check out this great collab between @temptin_temptations and @eddiesteady1981 There is a fundraiser live right now, and when it is reached, more than an hour of The Temptations Review performing live on video will be released! Thank you to both of them for doing what they're doing, and hopefully soon we will have a successful fundraiser and be able to see this never before seen footage. ko-fi.com/johd75350
Today I saw the Temptations perform for the first time, needless to say it was awesome. Otis and Ron are fantastic as always, Terry’s vocals blow you away, Jawan’s bass is hella powerful, and Tony is an amazing frontman. Very grateful to finally have seen them! This channel also hit 1k subscribers today, thank you! I have a lot of fun making the videos, and really enjoy reading everyone’s comments.
Check this out! Jawan Jackson singing "My Girl"! He is currently the Temptations bass singer, but this is the first time I've heard him sing tenor. Really great performance from him and the PS22 Chorus.
