One of my lovely subscribers wanted some tips to be able to celebrate with norse witchcraft ideas so here is a list for you all:

🌟 Norse Witchcraft Yule Tips

1. Light a Yule Candle (or 12)
A single candle for the rebirth of the sun — or one candle a night leading up to Yule.
Focus on warmth, protection, and welcoming Sunna back.

2. Honour Your Ancestors
A small plate of food, a cup of tea, or even a candle on the windowsill.
Speak their names quietly — they love being remembered this time of year.

3. Bring the Evergreens Indoors
Pine, fir, holly, rosemary — anything that stays green.
It symbolises strength during the dark and protects the home.

4. Do a Simple Yule Blessing
Hold your hands over the home or your altar and say a short charm asking for light, warmth, health, and peace through the winter.

5. Make a Yule Charm or Ornament
A little bundle of cinnamon, pine, orange peel, and a rune (Fehu for abundance, Sowilo for solar energy).
Hang it in the home or on the tree.

6. Offer to the Landvættir
A bit of bread, oats, apples, nuts, or seeds placed outside.
Thank them for protecting your land and guiding you through the dark months.

7. Read or Tell a Norse Story
Yule is storytelling season — the sagas, myths,

8. Do a “Return of the Sun” Meditation
Close your eyes and imagine Sunna rising again over the horizon, bringing hope into your life.

9. Cook or Share a Warm Yule Drink
Mulled cider, spiced tea, or even a hot chocolate blessed with runes traced in the foam 😄
Rune hint: Sowilo for light, Gebo for giving and receiving.

10. Donate or Give Something
Norse Yule was all about generosity.
Even a small act of kindness carries huge magic.

11. Burn Last Year’s Intentions
If you made charms or wrote intentions last year, this is the perfect time to release them into the fire and make space for the new cycle.

12. Keep It Simple If You’re Tired
Just lighting a candle putting it in the window and whispering a blessing to all will be enough
