Yesterday I finished making the uppers, and today I completed the insole channeling. This video also features footage that wasn't included on the main channel, so I've uploaded it to my second channel. I am currently working on a new pair of shoes. Test upper lasting for an Oxford shoe. This process isn't included in the main video, but I've uploaded it to my second channel. If you're interested, feel free to check it out via the link below! https://youtu.be/exy6BAgPkGA?si=KS5oL...
I have just uploaded the first video from my new space. The images selected through your votes are currently being run through YouTube’s A/B testing. Thank you all for your support! https://youtu.be/bZ34mJ1JV6w?si=k4Z5M...
I’m currently preparing to upload my very first video since moving to the new location.
I’m having trouble deciding on the thumbnail for this video and would love to hear your thoughts. I’ve uploaded four images with numbers on them. Please leave a comment with the number of the image you think would work best as the thumbnail!
I will be running an A/B thumbnail test using the image that gets the most votes from you guys, along with a photo of the completed shoes that I’ve chosen.
Once the video is live, I’ll let you know right here in the community tab.
I’m currently doing some midpoint video editing! Doing all the editing at the very end gets way too overwhelming, so I’m editing in batches as I go.
Looking through the footage, the new workshop turns out to be an amazing spot for controlling light—it’s neither too bright nor too dark, just right. My only worry now is that it might get too hot in here and mess with my focus while working!
To check if the design and pattern turned out well, I crafted a test upper and performed pre-lasting. This video covers one of the processes that didn't make it into the main video. I kept this video under 8 minutes to prevent YouTube from automatically inserting mid-roll ads. Once I qualify to customize my ad settings, I will produce and upload longer videos featuring these behind-the-scenes steps. Please use the link below to watch the video.
On June 15th, I successfully completed the move to my new workspace. Since then, I’ve been busy unpacking and organizing the new workshop, and I finally finished setting everything up yesterday. During my brief moments of free time throughout this process, I filmed a few short videos.
I have uploaded these videos to my second, personal channel. Because this channel is still very new and small, I do not yet have the eligibility to control the ads that YouTube places on my content. To prevent YouTube from automatically inserting disruptive mid-roll ads, I intentionally kept these new videos under 8 minutes. Once the channel grows and I am granted full control over the ad settings, I will remove the ads entirely.
If you are interested in seeing the new space and my recent updates, please follow the link below to watch the video. If you enjoy it, please don't forget to like and subscribe to the personal channel.
Moving forward, I plan to use that channel to share more of my personal life and behind-the-scenes work, such as making my own shoemaking tools, fishing, going for walks, and driving. As for the main channel—now that the workshop is fully ready, I will resume making shoes starting tomorrow.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
Hello everyone. As mentioned in my last post, I am currently in the middle of packing and preparing for the move.
To make sure I can dive right into shooting with the perfect setup as soon as I arrive at the new workshop, I wanted to get your thoughts in advance.
Please look at the three images (A, B, C) and leave a comment with the letter of the image you prefer most in terms of brightness and color.
*** A: Slightly bright with deep, rich colors** *** B: Quite dark with muted, soft colors** *** C: Slightly dark with deep, rich colors**
(I’m asking for comments because the YouTube poll images are too small to see the details properly. Click the image to view it in full detail.) Your choice will be highly valuable for the first video in the new studio.
It has been three weeks since I uploaded my last video, and these days I’ve been packing my belongings myself to move into a new workshop. While packing, I also found a wooden box filled with old tools that I used a long time ago.
The moving day is June 15, and it takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to drive there from here. In Korea, where the land is relatively small, that is considered quite a long distance.
It is a very small countryside village where heavy snow falls and the winters are extremely cold. I’m already looking forward to this winter.
And since I haven’t been able to work for the past three weeks, I really want to get back to making shoes as soon as possible. I’ll continue to stay in touch with you through community posts from time to time.

I won’t be able to continue working for a while as I prepare to move to a new workshop. It may take some time before the next video is uploaded. The new workshop will be a place I’ve always wanted to work in. I’ll share updates through email and the channel’s community posts.
