Just heard L.J. Smith (author of The Vampire Diaries) passed away recently. I read The Vampire Diaries series when I was a teenager (actually reread the first four books in 2022), and I was a big fan of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals in my late teens. R.I.P. Ms. Smith.
