🐐💤 **Today our tiny sleeping goat takes another step forward!**
Today, **October 7**, Part 2 of our new project is released — a tiny sleeping goat we are creating as a symbol of the upcoming **2027 Year of the Goat**.
And this is where she really starts to get her character…
In Part 1, we created the foundation — four tiny hooves and the little sculpted muzzle. Now the goat gets her **head, tiny horns and soft floppy ears**.
She is only **4.5 cm (1.77 inches)** long. And when you work on something this tiny, sometimes you have to stop and look twice: “Did I really just crochet that?” 😄
But those tiny details are exactly what make her feel alive.

Сегодня, **7 октября**, выходит **Part 2** нашего нового проекта — маленькой спящей козочки, которую мы готовим как символ наступающего **2027 года Козы**.
И вот здесь начинается самое интересное…
В первой части мы сделали основу — четыре маленьких копытца и аккуратную мордочку. А теперь у козочки появляется характер: **голова, крошечные рожки и мягкие висячие ушки**.
Она всего **4,5 см**. И, честно говоря, когда работаешь с такой маленькой игрушкой, иногда приходится остановиться и посмотреть ещё раз: «Неужели я действительно сейчас это вяжу?» 😄
Но именно такие маленькие детали и делают её живой.

En la Parte 1 hicimos la base: las cuatro pequeñas pezuñas y el hocico. Ahora empieza a aparecer su personalidad: **la cabeza, los pequeños cuernos y las orejitas caídas**.

I recorded the full, detailed assembly of that dragon, spent hours editing it... and then accidentally deleted everything.
I had to do an emergency re-shoot. Plus, after a request, I separately recorded an extra video for the medium and small wing webbing. I was rushing to finish it in time for the Year of the Dragon, and in that moment, from sheer exhaustion, I almost gave up.
But on September 22, 2026, our Crochet Evolution channel turned 3 years old. We are now a community of over 11,000. And it was exactly this dragon that brought in our first major views and helped us pass the monetization threshold.
Over these three years, we've been through a lot. The war is in its fourth year, and this channel literally helps us hold on. There was an evening when Alexey was translating texts for the videos, and the electricity suddenly went out. His laptop battery was completely dead, the screen went black instantly, and a massive chunk of work just vanished. After that, we tightened our belts and bought a portable power station. Right now, we're switching to a new provider so we can have internet even during 12-hour blackouts. We don't give up.

I got a custom order to crochet this lion as a gift based on the recipient's zodiac sign. The customer specifically asked for a lion with a lively look and a real, thick mane. The gift is already with its owner and bringing them joy, but I recorded the entire crochet process on video.
I spent quite a while perfecting the design:

J'ai crocheté ce lion sur commande pour l'offrir en cadeau en fonction du signe astrologique de la personne. La cliente voulait un lion avec un regard vif et une vraie crinière bien épaisse. Le cadeau a déjà été offert et a fait très plaisir, mais j'ai filmé tout le processus de création.
J'ai passé du temps à peaufiner le modèle :
🧶 Le corps est crocheté d'une seule pièce : les pattes sont intégrées au fur et à mesure, il n'y a que la tête et la queue à coudre.
🦁 Le museau est anatomique — sans broderie compliquée et en utilisant très peu de fil.
✂️ Les moustaches sont en fil de pêche pour bien garder leur forme.
🦁 Quant à la crinière, c'est un vrai test de patience. C'est un travail long et minutieux qui demande beaucoup d'amour si l'on veut offrir un cadeau unique à un proche.

Two years ago, I filmed a 10-part crochet tutorial for a plush Lightning McQueen — entirely in Russian. Many of you watched it anyway, following along with English subtitles. Some of you even asked for a proper English voiceover. I heard you, but honestly? I didn't know how to make it happen.
Then my 14-year-old daughter Sofia stepped in.
She's been learning English since she was 8 years old. But knowing a language and having the confidence to speak on camera for thousands of people — those are two very different things. And now, at 14, she finally felt ready. She sat down in front of a microphone and recorded the full voiceover for Part 1. In English. By herself.
Was she nervous? Oh yes. Her voice was trembling at times, and she kept asking me, "Mom, are you sure it sounds okay?" But she did it. And I think she did a really good job — though I might be biased, because I'm her mom 😄
Here's the thing: I need YOUR honest opinion.
This project means a lot to both of us. The plush Lightning McQueen is 50 cm long, made from YarnArt Dolce yarn, and it took 10 detailed videos to walk through every stitch — the body, the side panels, the wheels, the spoiler, the lightning bolt, the number 95, assembling everything together. It's one of the most popular projects on my channel, and many people have already crocheted their own McQueen following along.
But until now, English-speaking viewers only had subtitles for Parts 1–7. YouTube's auto-dubbing couldn't work because the original Russian audio quality from my early channel days wasn't good enough. Parts 8, 9, and 10 did get YouTube's AI auto-dubbing though — so you can actually compare.

Une petite devinette : mon tout premier projet sur la chaîne
La peluche McQueen... En le regardant, je réalise que nous avons déjà plus de trente projets sur la chaîne. Le temps passe si vite quand on fait ce qu'on aime.
Et comme ces projets sont différents ! Nous en avons eu de tout petits, comme la minuscule petite brebis qui n'a pris que deux vidéos, ou le drôle de chat avec ses saucisses en trois leçons. Et il y a eu de vrais défis, comme le grand dragon à armature que nous avons assemblé maille par maille pendant 20 cours.
Je sais que beaucoup d'entre vous ont abordé les jouets complexes avec une petite appréhension. Vous aviez peur de ne pas maîtriser l'armature ou de rater le petit museau. Mais nous nous sommes assises, avons allumé la vidéo, et tout s'est bien passé. Nous nous sommes trompées, avons défait, et réessayé. Der Plüsch-McQueen... Wenn ich ihn ansehe, wird mir klar, dass sich auf unserem Kanal schon über dreißig Projekte angesammelt haben. Wie schnell die Zeit doch verfliegt, wenn man tut, was man liebt.
Und wie unterschiedlich diese Projekte sind. Es gab ganz kleine – wie das winzige Schaf, für das wir nur zwei Videos brauchten, oder die lustige Katze mit den Würstchen in drei Lektionen. Aber es gab auch echte Mutproben, wie den großen Drahtgestell-Drachen, den wir Masche für Masche in ganzen 20 Kursen zusammengesetzt haben.
Ich weiß, dass viele von euch sich an die schwierigen Figuren erst mit etwas Respekt herangetraut haben. Ihr hattet Sorge, dass es mit dem Drahtgestell nicht klappt oder das Gesichtchen nicht schön wird. Aber wir haben uns hingesetzt, das Video eingeschaltet – und alles hat funktioniert. Wir haben Fehler gemacht, aufgetrennt und es noch einmal versucht. Ihr könnt euch gar nicht vorstellen, wie sehr ich mich über jeden eurer kleinen Erfolge freue.
YouTube erlaubt es nur, 10 Fotos an einen Beitrag anzuhängen, deshalb habe ich hier zehn unserer verschiedenen Figuren für euch zusammengestellt. Schaut sie euch genau an.

Een klein raadsel: mijn allereerste project op het kanaal
Pluche McQueen... Als ik naar hem kijk, besef ik dat we al meer dan dertig projecten op ons kanaal hebben verzameld. Wat vliegt de tijd toch als je doet waar je van houdt.
En wat zijn deze projecten verschillend. Er waren hele kleine bij — zoals het piepkleine schaapje dat maar twee video's in beslag nam, of de grappige kat met worstjes in drie lessen. Maar er waren ook echte moedigheidstesten, zoals de grote draadframe-draak die we steek voor steek in wel 20 lessen in elkaar hebben gezet.
Ik weet dat velen van jullie met een beetje vrees aan de moeilijke knuffels begonnen. Jullie waren bang dat het met het frame niet zou lukken of dat het snuitje niet mooi zou worden. Maar we gingen zitten, zetten de video aan — en het lukte gewoon. We maakten fouten, haalden het uit en probeerden het opnieuw. Jullie hebben geen idee hoe blij ik word van elke kleine overwinning van jullie.
YouTube staat het helaas alleen toe om 10 foto's aan een bericht toe te voegen, dus heb ik hier tien van onze verschillende personages verzameld. Kijk er maar eens goed naar.

Mała zagadka: mój absolutnie pierwszy projekt na kanale
Pluszowy McQueen... Kiedy na niego patrzę, uświadamiam sobie, że na naszym kanale zebrało się już ponad trzydzieści projektów. Jak niepostrzeżenie mija czas, gdy robi się to, co się kocha.
I jakież te projekty są różne. Były całkiem malutkie — jak maleńka owieczka, na którą wystarczyły tylko dwie części wideo, czy zabawny kot z kiełbaskami na trzy lekcje. Ale były też prawdziwe sprawdziany odwagi, jak wielki smok na stelażu, którego składałyśmy oczko po oczku przez okrągłe 20 zajęć.
Wiem, że wiele z was zabierało się za skomplikowane maskotki z pewną obawą. Martwiłyście się, że nie poradzicie sobie ze stelażem albo że pyszczek nie wyjdzie. Ale siadałyśmy, włączałyśmy wideo — i wszystko się udawało. Myliłyśmy się, prułyśmy, próbowałyśmy znowu. Nawet nie wyobrażacie sobie, jak bardzo cieszę się z każdego waszego małego zwycięstwa.
YouTube pozwala dodać do posta tylko 10 zdjęć, dlatego zebrałam tutaj dziesięć różnych naszych postaci. Przyjrzyjcie się im uważnie.

Malá hádanka: můj úplně první projekt na kanálu
Plyšový Blesk McQueen... Dívám se na něj a uvědomuji si, že se na našem kanálu sešlo už více než třicet projektů. Jak ten čas letí, když děláte to, co milujete.
A jak rozdílné tyto projekty jsou. Byly tu úplně maličké — jako malá ovečka, na kterou stačila jen dvě videa, nebo zábavný kocour s párečky na tři lekce. Ale byly tu i opravdové zkoušky odvahy, jako velký drak na drátěné kostře, kterého jsme očko po očku tvořily celých 20 lekcí.
Vím, že mnohé z vás se do složitých hraček pouštěly s obavami. Bály jste se, že nezvládnete kostru nebo že se nepovede čumáček. Ale sedly jsme si, zapnuly video — a všechno se povedlo. Dělaly jsme chyby, páraly a zkoušely to znovu. Ani nevíte, jak velkou radost mám z každého vašeho malého vítězství.

A little guessing game: my very first channel project
Plush McQueen... Looking at him makes me realize we already have over thirty projects on the channel. Time flies so fast when you're doing what you love.
And these projects are so different! We had small ones — like the tiny sheep that only took two video parts, or the funny cat with sausages that took three lessons. And then there were real tests of courage, like the big wireframe dragon we put together stitch by stitch over 20 tutorials.
I know many of you approached the complex toys with caution. You worried about handling the wireframe or getting the face right. But we sat down, turned on the video, and made it work. We made mistakes, unraveled the yarn, and tried again. You have no idea how happy every little victory of yours makes me.
YouTube only allows 10 photos per post, so I’ve gathered ten of our different characters here. Take a close look at them.

El peluche de McQueen... Mirarlo me hace dar cuenta de que ya tenemos más de treinta proyectos en el canal. El tiempo vuela cuando haces lo que amas.
¡Y qué diferentes son estos proyectos! Tuvimos algunos pequeños, como la ovejita que solo nos tomó dos partes de video, o el divertido gato con salchichas de tres lecciones. O pelúcia do McQueen... Olhar para ele me faz perceber que já temos mais de trinta projetos no canal. O tempo voa quando fazemos o que amamos.
E como esses projetos são diferentes! Tivemos alguns bem pequenos, como a ovelhinha que levou apenas duas partes de vídeo, ou o divertido gato com salsichas de três aulas. E também houve verdadeiros testes de coragem, como o grande dragão com estrutura de arame que montamos ponto por ponto ao longo de 20 tutoriais.
Eu sei que muitas de vocês começaram os brinquedos complexos com um pouco de receio. Ficaram preocupadas se dariam conta da estrutura ou se o rostinho ficaria bom. Mas nós nos sentamos, ligamos o vídeo e conseguimos. Cometemos erros, desmanchamos e tentamos de novo. Vocês não imaginam como fico feliz com cada pequena vitória de vocês.

Un piccolo indovinello: il primo progetto del canale
Il peluche di McQueen... Guardandolo mi rendo conto che abbiamo già più di trenta progetti sul canale. Il tempo vola quando si fa ciò che si ama.
E come sono diversi tra loro! Ne abbiamo avuti di piccoli, come la pecorella che ha richiesto solo due video, o il simpatico gatto con le salsicce in tre lezioni. E ci sono state vere e proprie sfide, come il grande drago con la struttura in fil di ferro che abbiamo costruito punto dopo punto in 20 tutorial.
So che molte di voi hanno affrontato i pupazzi più complessi con un po' di timore. Eravate preoccupate per la struttura o per la realizzazione del musetto. Ma ci siamo sedute, abbiamo acceso il video e ce l'abbiamo fatta. Abbiamo sbagliato, disfatto il lavoro e riprovato. Non avete idea di quanto mi renda felice ogni vostra piccola vittoria.
