French Body Parts Have Their OWN Gender!

(Not the human — the WORD! 😅)

In French, body parts don’t care if you’re a man or a woman.

They follow grammatical gender, not biological gender 👀

👉 Your nose is masculine

👉 Your head is feminine

Plot twist? That’s French for you 🇫🇷✨

🧠 Fun Examples:

👃 Le nez → masculine

👄 La bouche → feminine

👀 Les yeux → masculine (plural)

🧠 La tête → feminine

🦵 La jambe → feminine

👣 Le pied → masculine

💡 Even if you are male or female, the word decides its gender — not you!

Exam Tip (TCF / TEF Canada): Leg, mouth, head, heart,hair,skin, teeth,mouth, tongue are common parts you'd meet in the exam + more!

Always memorize body parts with their article: ✔️ le nez ❌ not just nez

✔️ la tête ❌ not just tête
