At 48, I never expected my life to look like this. I’m a mother of two, furbaby mom of four, and a lifelong creator — artist, photographer, and author. After nearly three decades working quietly behind the scenes for an unnamed organization, I finally asked myself the question I avoided for years: What if I was meant to create instead of just survive?
Today, I write books, host Between The Lines, and interview authors, artists, and creators who explore grief, identity, generational trauma, reinvention, and the ghosts that follow us. To celebrate the release of my newest novel Rachel on 31 October 2026, I’m hosting a spooky, immersive scavenger hunt inspired by the eerie world of Hollow Creek. One winner will receive a signed copy of Rachel and an optional interview on our podcast, Between the Lines.
🛑 SAFETY RULES (PLEASE READ)
Stay in public areas — No trespassing, no restricted zones, no abandoned buildings you’re not allowed to enter.
Follow local laws — If a location is off-limits, pick a different one.
Bring a friend — Especially if you’re shooting at night.
No dangerous stunts — Don’t climb trestles, ledges, or unstable structures.
Use common sense — If it feels unsafe, skip it.
This hunt should be fun, creative, and zero‑risk.
📸 PROOF YOU TOOK THE PHOTO
To keep the contest fair, you must show that the photo is yours. Choose any one of these:
Self‑included photo — You can be in the shot (face or silhouette).
Behind‑the‑scenes photo — A second photo showing you taking the picture.
Metadata screenshot — Show date/time/location from your phone gallery.
Location tag — Turn on location services when taking the photo.
Short video proof — A 3–5 second clip at the location.
Any one of these works — keep it simple.

Over the past year, I recorded all 10 chapters of my memoir — but now that I’m using Riverside.fm, the sound quality is SO much better. Because of that, I’m remastering and re‑releasing every chapter, starting with Chapter 1: Small Town Girl.
