A long time ago in 2009, the German band AKANOID (Official) around mastermind Hilton Theissen released their second album “Civil Demon”.

Compared to the previous album and EPs, guitars have increasingly found their way into AKANOID’s sonic universe; synth-pop has morphed into electronic rock. In doing so, the band skillfully avoids tired clichés; despite their musical kinship with various electro-pop and industrial rock acts, they maintain a distinct and recognizable individuality.

“Civil Demon” is undoubtedly the work of a mature band, showcasing an impressive range of compositions that frequently offer unexpected twists. Classic, melancholic electro-pop sits in harmony alongside catchy, driving tracks, guitar-heavy industrial rock and even semi-acoustic and experimental, playful material.

Mit „Microgram“ veröffentlichen NACHTSCHLEIFE ihre Debütsingle – einen eindringlichen Darkwave-/Dark-Electro-Track über Medikamentenabhängigkeit, innere Leere und die Suche nach Halt in einer überforderten Gesellschaft.

Das Trio stehen Stephanie Abromeit (Beffibelle), Bernd Abromeit (Tonschleifer) und Ulf Müller (Projekt Ich, The Grab Society, SMOTCH, M.U.N.T Connection, Tränenwelten, U.M. Fiedel). Entstanden aus gemeinsamen Remixarbeiten, entwickelte sich NACHTSCHLEIFE innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einem eigenständigen Projekt mit einer klaren musikalischen Handschrift: düster, elektronisch und atmosphärisch.

Inspiriert von der gesellschaftlichen Debatte um Psychopharmaka und den oft leichtfertigen Umgang mit verschreibungspflichtigen Medikamenten, richtet „Microgram“ den Blick auf die Ursachen hinter Abhängigkeit und emotionaler Isolation. Der Song ist keine Anklage, sondern eine künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit einem Thema, das viele Menschen betrifft: Wenn Krisen häufiger mit Medikamenten als mit Zeit, Therapie oder menschlicher Nähe beantwortet werden.

Musikalisch verbindet „Microgram“ treibende elektronische Beats, industrielle Klangfarben und eine dichte Atmosphäre mit einer markanten Gesangsperformance.
