Probably should've made this post sooner, but oh well. So this week was a rough week for me. I ended up in the ER on Tuesday (ended up being nothing major, thankfully) and then my dog suffered a herniated disk in her neck on Wednesday. I had to drive two hours away to find a vet that could diagnose and operate on her and didn't get home until late afternoon on Friday.
This is why there hasn't been many streams or videos this week. Sorry about that! In the future, join my Discord (linked in all my videos) to get updated sooner as I was keeping everyone there in the loop as things happened.
Thankfully, the doggo's operation went well. She'll be recovering for the next month at the very least, but she's home safe and sound and doing way better than she was on Weds.
Thanks to all of you who continue to watch my videos and support my content creation!
For those of you not on my Discord you may not be aware of this, but I've gotten pretty sick over the past few days.
On Friday, April 24th I got my second dose of the COVID vaccine and on the 25th I was laid out pretty hard. Chills (but no fever, oddly) and fatigue had me in bed all day. I think I spent like 6 hours not asleep that day, lol. Which sucked, but was mostly fine because it was all an expected reaction to the vaccine.
But then, on the 26th, things changed. I felt a lot better, but now I had a fever, a cough, and shortness of breath. I could still smell and taste things, but coughing and shortness of breath are /not/ side effects of the vaccine I took, so this was a bit concerning. It seemed like I may have managed to catch COVID right around the same time that I got the vaccine. Which would be about on par for my luck, tbh. XD
On the 27th (the day of this post), I woke up to my fever having gone down but still coughing and having breathing issues. My inhaler provides some relief from it, but doesn't completely get rid of this. As such, my fiance (who isn't a doctor doctor but IS a pharmacist) postulated that this whole situation may have been a vaccine reaction that exacerbated my asthma. It would explain everything, but we're not certain just yet.
As such, my stream has not been running and I've run out of backlog, unfortunately. It might be a few days before a new AA video gets posted.
Sorry about that, but I doubt me coughing in your ear would be very enjoyable anyway, lol.
Tank Tussle Season 3 will be starting tomorrow (February 1st, 2021) and I think it's going to be a fun, interesting tournament, but I want to get started on planning the next one too!
So, the question here is: What kind of tournament would you like to see after the Tank Tussle?
Hey everyone! The polls are in! Polaris got 8 votes and Battlesheep got 24, putting the final scores as follows:
Polaris: 51 Battlesheep: 49
Extremely close, but the Polaris will be moving on to the Finals vs the Son of Tillman! I'll be doing this battle on Monday. And I plan to stream it assuming I can get everything set up and ready on time! The stream will start at about 12:30 PM Pacific time (which is GMT-8, I believe) over on Twitch at www.twitch.tv/callmementi If you can't make it, don't worry. I'll upload a VOD of the stream here on YT.
Just so you know, I'm moving this week. I hope to get around to recording all of this week's videos before I leave on Tuesday, but it may not happen. Tank Tussle Season 2 might just get put on hold until the 27th.
I keep getting this question a lot in the comments and I just remembered that I can make posts on YouTube so... figured I'd do one to help out!
Lots of people want to know how to join my tournaments. It's easy! There's a submission period before each tournament begins and if you send me your BP during that time, you've just entered the tournament!
When are these submission periods, you ask? Well! They usually occur shortly after a tournament ends, but they don't have a set schedule or anything. It depends on a lot of factors. The best way for you to keep up to date is to join my Discord linked in the description of all my videos!
